When Democrats talk about gun control, one of their favorite lines to Second Amendment-loving Americans is “we’re not trying to take your guns.” The left-wing claims that their ongoing calls for gun control are merely designed to stop dangerous criminals from having access to weapons. It’s too bad that after all this time, the Democrat Party fails to comprehend that criminals do not, nor will they ever, follow gun control laws. In the wake of multiple mass shootings in recent weeks, the left-wing’s calls for gun control are in full force.
2020 Democrats are, of course, on board with gun control; only this time, they’ve decided to drop the cheap charade of supposedly not wanting to take guns from law-abiding Americans. Beto O’Rourke admitted as much, going as far as to call for a mandatory buyback program for each and every AR-15 and AK-47, as documented by Fox News.
This doesn’t come as a shock to conservatives; it simply confirms what many Americans have known for quite some time: the endgame of gun control has always been a mass confiscation of guns from all, thus leaving innocents at the mercy of criminals who illegally obtain firearms.
Removing the Smoke and Mirrors
On Monday, O’Rourke finally cut the crap and admitted that his party’s ultimate interest does lie in taking firearms away from lawful gun owners. O’Rourke had no explanation of how stripping law-abiding citizens of their constitutional rights will stop criminals with no regard for the law; however, the 2020 hopeful did take great pleasure in expressing what’s been very well-known amongst Democrats for quite some time!

It must be such a relief for O’Rourke to unburden himself and finally stop pretending. Never again can Democrats and progressives question why the right-wing view them as haters of the Second Amendment.
More on the Agenda to Take Your Guns
In addition to O’Rourke’s confession about wanting to take your guns, he also praised Walmart for discontinuing handgun ammunition sales and discouraging open carry in their stores, even in states which permit it.
O’Rourke isn’t alone in his desire to take your guns either. Cory Booker is another 2020 candidate who favors mandatory buybacks and, in his words, an “outright ban” on assault weapons.
So there you have it. Democrats are finally being open and honest about their agenda to trample on your Second Amendment rights. The one silver lining in all this is that O’Rourke is not going to become the president; however, his statements are very indicative of where the Democrat Party stands. Ultimately, none of the candidates has a real plan to stop mass shootings; taking guns away from lawful citizens has absolutely no impact on criminals.
