Ahh, They Finally Admit There is a Border Crisis

In July, more than 180,000 migrants were detained by agents along the nine southwestern Border Patrol sectors as they entered the country illegally from Mexico across ports of entry.
This reflects a decline of almost 10% from July 2021, the first monthly decline from year to year after August 2020.

The Details

According to an unconfirmed CBP report seen by Breitbart Texas, Border Patrol personnel operating the southwestern Mexico border captured almost 181,000 migrants who entered the country unlawfully between the entry points in July.

This represents a decline of 5.6 percent from the 191,898 migrants detained in June.

Year-to-year misgivings decreased when compared to the total of 200,658 from July 2021 to the amount of this July for the first time until August 2020.

Upwards of 1.8 million migrants have been detained by Border Patrol officials so far in this fiscal month, which started on October 1, 2021. This is more than the entire FY21 total of 1,658,206; yet, there are still two whole months left in the year.

The Del Rio Sector, one of the nine southwestern border sectors, quickly assumed the top spot as the busiest. Agents detained roughly 50,000 migrants in July.

Comparing these numbers to 33,600 in July 2021, we see a roughly 50% rise. Due to fewer migrants being apprehended by agents — just around 35,000, as opposed to just over 81,000 in July 2021 — the Rio Grande Valley Sector dropped to the second position.

As officers detained more than 24,000 migrants in this isolated desert region, the Yuma Sector emerged as another international border hotspot. This number is higher than the 14,845 migrants detained in July 2021.

According to the study, more than 71 percent of the 181,000 migrants apprehended were single adults. Families made up around 22% of the population; single minors made up the remaining 7%.

The Truth is Coming

Later this month, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is expected to provide official data via the July Southwestern Land Border Encounter report. The data in that study might have been marginally modified by the reports Breitbart Texas saw this week.

As Governor Greg Abbott keeps on moving unprecedented numbers of illegal aliens to liberal “sanctuary cities,” a bus carrying mostly single adult male migrants from Texas showed up at Port Authority in New York City on Friday.

Volunteers there welcomed them with burritos. Port Authority originally lack a gate for the buses to park.

Port Authority staff members were unaware of the plan for arrival, suggesting New York City officials were either unprepared for the migrants’ arrival or at least lacked the information and coordination to accept them.

Friday, the bus made many loops between 8th and 9th avenue before it was eventually able to park at Gate 14 at around 7:30 a.m.

Abbott said, in a statement, that “Texas has to take extraordinary steps to keep our residents safe,” as a result of President Biden’s “continued reluctance to acknowledge the catastrophe generated by his open border policies.”
