Americans May Get Mailed Face Masks from Biden White House

Since face masks became presented as a means of preventing COVID-19 transmission, they’ve been controversial. First, health “experts” like Dr. Fauci professed that Americans shouldn’t wear masks; then, Fauci walked this back and claimed that he only discouraged mask-wearing due to the shortage of masks available to healthcare workers.

Weeks ago, the New York Times put out an article advocating for “double masking” a.k.a. wearing two face masks at the same time. Fauci first endorsed double masking, only to backtrack less than two weeks later and profess that there’s no data to affirm the efficacy of wearing two masks.

When Joe Biden became president, he signed a mask mandate that requires face coverings on federal properties. Hours after signing this executive order, Biden appeared on federal grounds without a mask; although, Breitbart News confirms that Biden may soon be mailing out face masks to Americans across the country.

Mailing Masks to the American People

The present coronavirus task force under the Biden administration is looking into mailing out masks to Americans. A measure of this nature is designed to encourage mask-wearing, hence making face coverings readily available. Thus far, however, a decision on mailing out face coverings has yet to be made.

Yesterday, Fauci bemoaned during an online press briefing that “full compliance” with “fundamental public health measures” is not happening. What Fauci hasn’t complained about, though, are the devastating impacts (such as suicides, exacerbation of mental health issues, job loss, etc.) that have come from measures (like shutdowns) that he advocated for.

The Reality of Masks in America

Many Americans have chosen to get on board with calls to mask up. There are some people in the nation who wear a face mask any and everywhere, even when they’re walking outside by themselves. Then, there are other Americans who wear masks some of the time, as rarely as possible, or not at all.

Sending face masks in the mail is unlikely to significantly change the current state of mask-wearing. People who are already wearing masks will simply have one more mask in the collection; meanwhile, Americans who have chosen not to partake in mask-wearing are unlikely to change their minds simply because a mask appears in their mailbox.

What do you think about the Biden administration possibly mailing out face masks to Americans? Do you believe this would get people who aren’t wearing masks to start wearing them? Let us know in the comments section below.
