Using race to divide Americans and accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of are hallmarks of the Democrat Party.
Let’s review the facts: it is the Democrats who constantly tell people that their opportunities, quality of life, and treatment in society are impacted by their skin color. It is the Democrats who constantly brand racial minorities as inherent victims and white people as inherent oppressors. For anyone on the left to accuse President Trump of using race to divide America is laughable, yet it happens constantly.
Yesterday, the president took to Twitter in order to weigh in on the treasonous impeachment coup which the House Democrats are waging against him. In his tweet, the president compared the current, partisan-driven impeachment coup to “a lynching.” Of course, the Democrats immediately seized this tweet as an opportunity to bring up race and paint the president as the villain.
Per reports from Breitbart News, House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez cited the tweet as an example of Trump attempting to divide the nation.
Reviewing the “Lynching” Tweet and AOC’s Response
In the president’s tweet, he stated that impeachment proceedings which lack “due process or fairness or any legal rights” are happening, hence the comparison to a lynching.
In lynchings, the victim was essentially put on trial and condemned…without due process, fairness, or legal rights. The truth is that Democrats knew what Trump meant when he made this reference, but they still chose to spin things and create a new narrative.
When speaking with TMZ, Ocasio-Cortez accused Trump of intentionally trying to rile up Democrats by using the word “lynching.”
Her awful take reads as follows:
“It’s horrifying that he would do this, but also we have to understand he is using our pain to his advantage as well. He chose that word deliberately! […] He relies on the outrage, which like we have to say something. Right? We cannot allow this to be normalized.”
Manufactured Outrage from the Democrats
This idea that the president’s tweet somehow diminishes the gravity of lynchings which happened in previous times is outrageous. The facts remain that Trump specifically talked about the lack of due process, fairness, and legality; these tenets were also absent from lynchings, which is why the president used that specific word.
If anyone is trying to divide the country, it’s the Democrats, like Ocasio-Cortez. There was no hidden racial message or dogwhistle in Trump’s tweet; it’s actually quite unfortunate that the left’s hatred for the president has caused them to project their own ill interests and intentions onto him.
All of this manufactured outrage is merely a distraction from the following reality: this bogus and treasonous attempt to undo the outcome of the 2016 election is going absolutely nowhere.
