The fallout from the Southern border crisis is continuing to hit President Biden and his administration from all angles. This fallout is exacerbated by the reality that the White House won’t acknowledge the very real plights facing the Southern border; instead, they’d rather put their heads in the sand and pretend as though everything is under control.
Here’s the reality; the Southern border gets more and more out of control with every passing day. Yesterday, former President Trump slammed Biden for creating a “national disaster” by revoking successful border and immigration policies.
Now, word has begun to spread that Biden is intentionally blocking the media from seeing the facilities where migrants are being held. This has only led to more questions, all of which the 46th president is all too eager to avoid, as Newsmax reports.
When Will Biden Visit the Southern Border?
With the growing reports of horrific border conditions and overwhelmed facilities, officials and lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle have visited the border. Republicans, especially, remain outspoken about the crisis and are calling upon the Biden administration to get it together.
Over the past weekend, reporters pressed President Biden about the existential crisis at the Southern border. Biden was also asked about whether he has any interest in getting a firsthand look at what’s happening at the border; the president responded to this inquiry by alleging that he’s very much aware of what’s going on.

Finally, when one reporter asked the 46th president about his plans to visit the border himself, Biden professed that he’ll take a trip “at some point.” This intentionally vague answer arrives as the White House’s released scheduled for President Biden this week shows zero plans to head on down to the Southern border.
DHS on the Southern Border Crisis
The crisis at the Southern border has quite frankly become a national security issue. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated yesterday that the Southern border is not open, but officially closed.
Mayorkas also informed that while children are not being turned away when they arrive alone at the Southern border, adults and families are now facing expulsion.

Over the weekend, multiple news outlets also picked up footage of an illegal immigrant speaking to a reporter about his trek to the Southern border; in this footage, this individual admits that if Trump were still president, he wouldn’t have made the journey.
