Biden Caught in New Lies While Visiting Florida

On Wednesday, Joe Biden went to Florida to assess the damages incurred by Hurricane Ian. During this time, he met with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Florida first lady Casey DeSantis.

The president’s arrival in Florida came roughly 48 hours after he visited Puerto Rico in order to assess the damages caused by the hurricane.

Unfortunately for Biden, there were plenty of issues that emerged with his visit. For one thing, the president was heard claiming “no one f**ks with a Biden” during a conversation on hot mic.

Then, Biden was caught in a lie when speaking about a previous housefire he experienced during his younger days, as documented by Breitbart News.

Another Fib From Biden

During a speech to Floridians who suffered from the hurricane, Biden tried to come off as relatable by telling a story about a home that he lost to a fire. However, things quickly went left when the president made claims that are just demonstrably untrue.

According to Biden’s version of events, an “awful lot” of his home was ruined in the aftermath of a fire that took place almost 20 years ago. In actuality, Biden’s residence suffered a 2004 fire in the kitchen. However, the fire didn’t spread to the rest of the home.

This is well-documented by the Cranston Heights Fire Company which spoke about the extent of damages at Biden’s residence at the time.

It’s unclear why the president chose to lie when so much proof against his claims is on the books. However, this is far from the first time that Biden’s exaggerated or even flat-out fibbed about various accounts in order to make a point.

Other Standouts From the Visit

When Biden visited Florida, he and DeSantis made headlines for putting politics aside for the sake of what’s at stake amid the hurricane’s aftermath.

The president and the Florida governor have previously spared with one another over COVID, children’s education, and a host of other issues impacting the nation at large.

On top of this comes growing speculation about whether or not DeSantis could potentially be Biden’s direct rival in the 2024 presidential election.

Biden’s visit to Florida comes after a previous rally he was supposed to hold in support of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist was canceled, owing to the hurricane. Time will tell when or if Biden and Crist agree to hold this rally on a different date.

In the days ahead, it remains to be seen how the White House spins Biden’s false claims about the fire his home faced back in 2004. This subject matter is very likely to come up during one of the next White House press briefings.
