Biden Insists the Only Solution to Israel-Palestine Conflict is Two States

The only solution to the conflict in the Middle East is the two-state solution; these are the words of Joe Biden. One wonders, however, how much ground he is prepared to give though. Will he stand with America’s closest ally in the Middle East, Israel, or will he support concessions at Israel’s expense?

In an attempt to reassure Israel, Biden said that there is no shift in his commitment to the security of Israel. Confusingly though, he added that there had then been a shift and that the shift was his support for a two-state solution. He doubled down, saying it was the only solution.

Recently there has been a rift in the Democrat Party over the party’s approach to Israel. The young ultra-leftists in the House have just sabotaged an agreement that would see the United States help Israel capitalize necessary ammunition for its Iron Dome defense system.

Biden tried to alleviate the poor press by saying that he thinks his party still supports Israel and adding that: “Until the region says unequivocally they acknowledge” Israel’s right to exist,” he concluded that “there will be no peace.”

Far Left Backlash

Despite this show of force by Biden, roughly 140 so-called progressive groups called on the Biden administration to condemn what they call Israel’s disproportionate use of deadly force against the Palestinians. The organizations forget to mention that out of some 4000 missiles fired at Israel from Hamas, over 600 have landed in the Gaza strip, killing many and wounding countless.

On Tuesday, House Majority Steny Hoyer strongly condemned members of his own party that has taken a stance against Israel, calling them “extremists.” Hoyer declared that Israel is well within its rights to self-defense, notably when subjected to violence from anti-Semitic terrorist organizations.

The Danger of Anti Israel Rhetoric

In New York, a savage attack against the Jewish community there was carried out by pro-Palestine protesters. This highlights the dangers of American politicians siding with Hamas publicly; they embolden these mobs to take the streets and cause harm to those who have nothing to do with the conflict, they simply belong to the same religion.

The situation in New York got out of control when multiple cars started driving slowly down the street in front of restaurants, synagogues, and Jewish schools. In one of the cars, a man with a megaphone shouted, “Israel kills children.” After the drive-by, the protesters then left their vehicles and the assault on the restaurant-goers began. At least one person was injured in the attack.

The pro-Palestinian protesters descended upon the Jewish community shouting profanities and waving the Palestinian flag. According to eyewitnesses, the mob then began systematically attacking diners at restaurants, physically assaulting them, and even spitting on them.

One man said on Twitter that they were not Palestinian terror supporters, but that they were actual terrorists on the streets of New York. He added that they were attacking the diners for one reason only: the fact that they were Jewish.
