When it comes to the Southern border, the Biden administration is in quite a bind. Their consistent lies that there’s no crisis at the border continues being proven as untrue. In fact, the border crisis is so serious that Biden is planning to spend $86 million of taxpayer money to put migrants in hotels for half a year.

As the border crisis gets more and more dangerous, Americans are weighing in. Many conservatives have called upon the Biden administration to re-implement the successful and effective immigration policies of the Trump administration; however, top aides for the White House have asserted that this administration isn’t taking feedback from the former president.

Biden’s administration may not be taking feedback from former President Trump, but they sure are using him as a scapegoat for their own failures. This morning, the Homeland Security secretary blamed Trump for the crisis at the border that stems from the Biden administration, as Breitbart News reports.

No Accountability from the Biden Administration

Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), attempted to pass the buck this morning while speaking with CNN.

Mayorkas falsely claimed that the Trump administration upended previously successful immigration systems from GOP and Democrat presidents before him. The DHS secretary furthermore asserted that the Biden administration is staying true to its “values” and “principles” by increasing current capacity levels to provide shelter to children.

According to Mayorkas, the situation at the Southern border has also proven to be “difficult” for the Biden administration. While on his soapbox, the DHS secretary failed to admit that prior to President Biden reversing immigration reforms from the last administration, the situations at the border were under control.

“Challenges at the Border”

Aides and officials within the Biden administration continue to insist that “challenges” exist at the Southern border, but not a crisis. There also seems to be a lot of blame directed at former President Trump; this is especially interesting from an administration which insists that the previous administration has zero bearing on how the border is dealt with now.

The DHS secretary’s remarks simply speak to the failure of Biden’s immigration reforms. Truth be told, the Democrat president hasn’t indicated that he has any real plan; in fact, by rolling back Trump-era policies, Biden might as well being sending out a public service announcement that invites migrants to trek on over to the Southern border.
