Even though 54% of Americans changed their summer vacation plans, due to inflation, Biden is enjoying a two-week-long holiday in a luxury mansion in South Carolina.
Biden has now spent more time away from the White House in his first 19 months compared to all three presidents of this century: Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and George W. Bush.
Biden’s Excessive Vacations Called Out By GOP
The first family, including controversial first son Hunter Biden, flew to South Carolina on August 10 to spend their vacation at a $20 million luxurious island of Democratic donor Maria Allwin for free.
On August 16, Biden flew back to Washington for one day to sign the Inflation Reduction Act before leaving for his home in Delaware for a short trip.
During the vacation, Biden was seen biking along a South Carolina beach. Hunter Biden was also spotted along with his wife, Melissa Cohen, and their two-year-old son, Beau Biden Jr.
Since assuming the White House, Biden visited his home state of Delaware 49 times, where he spent 150 days in the 19 months of his presidency so far.

Mark Knoller, a former CBS anchor who is famous for keeping the tally of presidential statistics, revealed former President Trump spent 132 days at either his Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, or at his golf club in New Jersey during the first 19 months of his presidency.
Likewise, former President Obama spent 38 days away, while George W. Bush spent 100 days away during the same time in their presidential tenure.
Republicans Slammed Biden for Excessive Vacations
Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee hammered Biden for spending so much time away from his office.
This comes at a time when the country is grappling with a variety of crises. Americans are struggling to tackle the skyrocketing inflation.

According to the RNC, Biden is extremely out of touch for spending the whole month on vacation, even though Americans are forced to cancel their vacations, due to rising gas prices and the looming recession.
Instead of wasting time, Biden should immediately fix the prevailing economic chaos, RNC added. A recent survey by Forbes revealed almost 54% of Americans changed their summer travel plans because of inflation.
However, White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates defended Biden’s decision of a long trip, claiming presidents are not always required in the White House to do their jobs. Therefore, they can also work remotely.
Bates also argued Biden is consistently working to reduce soaring gas, drug, and energy prices, while bringing about gun reforms and expanding NATO at the same time.
When Biden is scheduled to return to Washington on Wednesday, he is planning to fly to Maryland to attend a Democratic National Committee event to campaign for midterm elections.
On Friday, Biden will once again fly to Delaware to spend his weekend.
