Biden Tries to Clean Up Claims He Won’t Heed Impeachment Subpoena

At this point, 2020 Democrat Joe Biden’s inability to keep his foot from his mouth is deeply apparent.

Last week, the former vice president bragged about having no intention of complying with any impeachment subpoenas which come his way. Biden made these remarks as the reality of his corruption with the Ukraine government continues to make rounds in the press. This corruption has subsequently led to the possibility of Biden, and his son Hunter, being called to testify in a Senate trial.

The former vice president didn’t hesitate to brag about what he wouldn’t do; although, yesterday, he took to Twitter in an attempt to clean things up. This entire fiasco simply shows why Biden has no business running for office, but clearly, that’s not going to stop him.

Cleaning Up His Vows to Ignore Impeachment Subpoenas

Biden’s initial claims assert that he wouldn’t adhere to any impeachment subpoenas from the Senate which command him to testify. However, on Saturday, Biden tried to reframe the context of his assertions.

The former vice president sent off a thread of explanations via Twitter. In the first tweet, Biden claims that he’s always “complied with a lawful order” over the extent of his 40-year political career.

He then claimed that President Trump and Vice President Pence have ignored requests from congressional oversight bodies. Before pointing the finger, Biden might do well to grasp that a subpoena from the Senate is, in fact, a “lawful order.”

After passing the buck and pointing the finger, the 2020 Democrat declared that legal basis is absent from any potential GOP subpoenas which would call for his testimony in a Senate trial. Biden then proceeded to claim that the impeachment sham pertains to President Trump’s behavior, rather than his own.

Finally, the former vice president concluded his tragic thread, asserting that the Trump White House is “shaking down” the Ukraine government and should, therefore, be subpoenaed.

Following Lawful Orders

No matter how many tweets Joe Biden puts out, he cannot have it both ways.

Either he complies with lawful orders or he picks and chooses which orders he complies with. If the former is true, then he will, in fact, testify before the United States Senate if the body subpoenas him accordingly. If the latter is accurate, then this explains a lot about Biden and warrants legal action against him.

None of these optics look good for Biden, especially in light of his aspirations to become the next president of the United States. There’s a reason why he’s slipped in the polls and there’s a reason why former President Obama won’t even come out and endorse his ex-running mate.

Like the rest of the nation, Obama knows that Biden has no business coming within sniffing distance of the presidency.
