California is facing several challenges.
For starters, thanks to high taxation rates and other poor statewide policies, homelessness is a serious crisis in the Golden State. Thanks to the leadership of Democrats, California’s economy continues to take hits from lockdowns and other restrictions on businesses and residents.
Many Californians are ready for change. This is why a strong recall effort against California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is in the works.
Newsom has attempted to paint the recall effort against him as a measure of the radical right; however, this just doesn’t stick. The Recall Newsom effort has bipartisan support of Californians across the political spectrum who are sick of their governor’s ineffectiveness.
On Friday, however, things got even more interesting. Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner announced this morning her candidacy for governor of California, as Fox News reports.
What to Know About Caitlyn Jenner’s Run for California Governor
On Friday, Jenner confirmed that she is, in fact, running against Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom.
In a statement, Jenner noted that she’s lived in California for over a half-century and believes the state is worth fighting for. Jenner slammed the Golden State’s “over-restrictive lockdowns” and stated that career politicians have ultimately engendered the demise of California.

Jenner’s statement also slammed Newsom for ordering California residents to remain at home as he dines out with his lobbyist allies in luxury restaurants. Finally, Jenner wrapped up by confirming that she’ll be meeting with Californians to get the state heading in the right direction.

Many Golden State residents are not pleased with Newsom’s leadership as governor. Jenner’s entry into the race gives Californians a shot at a do-over and a different style of leadership. Time will tell how Jenner’s campaign carries out and whether or not she manages to successfully unseat Gavin Newsom.
