Legal consequences are beginning to reach the Trump supporters who mobbed Capitol Hill precisely two weeks ago today.
On multiple occasions, President Trump has condemned and slammed the breach of the U.S. Capitol. The 45th president, along with others, maintains that individuals responsible for breaking into congressional chambers and causing chaos will be held legally responsible.
Over the past couple of weeks, multiple arrests have been made in connection to the aforementioned events. Trump supporters who breached the U.S. Capitol are additionally being turned in by their coworkers, relatives, and others.
The penalties and charges for the actions taken on the 6th are very steep. Hence, many of the Capitol Hill rioters were holding out hope for Trump to pardon them before his presidency reached its end, Newsmax confirms.

Rioters who broke into the Capitol two weeks ago believe that because they did so in support of Trump, he should now grant them a pardon. The people arrested are also facing up to two decades in prison and feel more than eager to escape this sentence.

Some of the arrested individuals maintain that they were simply following the orders of the outgoing president. Many of the pro-Trump rioters also posted online videos of themselves breaking into Capitol Hill; camera footage along with viral photos and videos furthermore helped authorities make the necessary arrests of those who broke the law.
Why Trump Won’t Pardon Capitol Hill Rioters
The 45th president will not be pardoning any of the individuals who stormed the Capitol. Trump departed from the White House earlier this morning for the final time; also, multiple advisers close to the president have urged him against issuing any pardons of folks arrested for breaking into the Capitol.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican and longtime ally of Trump, stated earlier this month that pardoning Capitol rioters would “destroy” Trump. The president did, however, pardon a series of entertainers, former politicians, and others.
Trump supporters who broke into Capitol Hill two weeks ago and now seek a pardon from the 45th president are out of luck. No matter how much these individuals believed they were fighting on Trump’s behalf, they will now have to accept responsibility for their actions.
