For weeks, legal representatives and independent attorneys working on behalf of President Trump have vowed to “stop the steal,” prove voter fraud, and secure a second White House term for President Trump.

This has not happened and it’s not going to happen. Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, and others failed to prove in the courts the widespread fraud they alleged happened in multiple swing states. Sidney Powell did not provide the “biblical” evidence of systematic fraud in the 2020 presidential election; likewise, Lin Wood’s erratic tweets have resulted in nothing else beyond telling certain people what they wish to hear.

Actions speak much louder than words. None of the aforementioned legal aides delivered on what they promised; however, Congress has officially certified Joe Biden as the president-elect, according to Breitbart News.

The Official Certification Process

Work to certify Joe Biden as the next president was disturbed yesterday when loyalists to President Trump stormed Capitol Hill. From clashes with Capitol Hill police, to smashing windows, shooting guns, and using various objects as weapons, the situation quickly got out of control. By the time the restoration of law and order arrived, four people died while dozens of others were arrested.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle condemned the attacks on Capitol Hill. Before resuming proceedings, Vice President Mike Pence noted that the individuals who stormed the building “did not win.” In a strong rebuke, Pence furthermore declared that freedom will always prevail over violence.

The official certification process for Joe Biden resumed on Wednesday evening, with lawmakers aiming to send a message that violence won’t deter them. Some Republicans in Congress raised objections to the certification proceedings, yet were ultimately voted down.

As of the wee hours of this Thursday morning, Joe Biden is officially and congressionally certified as the next and 46th president of the United States.

Response from President Trump

Following the official certification of Joe Biden as the next U.S. president, Trump issued a statement vowing an “orderly transition” of power come the 20th.

The 45th president furthermore noted his disagreement with the certification before stating that the “facts bear [him] out.” In this statement, Trump moreover acknowledged that the formal congressional certification of Joe Biden as president-elect marks the end of the Trump term on January 20.
