After various legal battles and ambiguity about buying Twitter, it looks as though businessman Elon Musk will be going through with the deal.
Previously, the acquisition was held up amid accusations that Twitter was less than forthcoming concerning the number of bots truly on its platform.
However, the latest development of Musk confirming he’ll go through with the deal has everyone talking. Apparently, some Twitter employees aren’t happy about it, amid concerns the social media platform will have less censorship against users with Musk running the show.
However, Musk’s latest comments about Truth Social, the social media site started by former President Trump, amid his revived Twitter deal, have everyone talking, per Breitbart News.
Musk’s Criticism of Truth Social
While speaking with Financial Times, Musk didn’t hesitate to express how little he thinks of Trump’s Truth Social. The businessman wrote off Truth Social as an “echo chamber” of right-wingers that would be better named “Trumpet.”
In other remarks with Financial Times, Musk said money wasn’t a factor in his decision to acquire Twitter. Rather, the businessman wants to protect the open exchange of ideas in a manner that has integrity.
MUSK: “I’m not doing $TWTR for the money. .. But I think it’s important that people have a .. trusted and inclusive means of exchanging ideas."

Later, Musk stated as Twitter stands today, it’s become a masochistic outlet. Musk’s comments about Trump also widely infer that he doesn’t approve of breaking away from Twitter to create new outlets.
Longstanding Tension Between Musk and Trump
While holding one of his political rallies in July, Trump ripped Musk as a “BS artist,” raising questions about Musk’s comments on voting in previous elections.
Musk, for his part, claimed earlier this year that he believes Trump should ride off into the sunset. The businessman also said Democrats should cool off their attacks against the former president.
With Musk’s purchase of Twitter being back on, there have been hypotheses about whether or not this will result in Trump returning to the platform.
I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset.
Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.

However, given the animosity between Musk and Trump, it is questionable as to whether or not the former president would even want to be back on the platform.
Musk, on the other hand, has been clear that he believes freedom of speech should exist on Twitter, even for those who aren’t fans of his.
At this time, it remains to be seen how Trump responds to his Truth Social platform being dismissed as a “right-wing echo chamber.” Musk’s latest comments to Financial Times could very well start yet another sparring match between himself and the former president.
What do you make of Elon Musk’s remarks about Truth Social being an echo chamber just of right-wingers? Do you believe Donald Trump will respond to this? You’re more than welcome to share your candid opinions with us in the comments area.
