Many former aides to the Trump administration are gradually finding their own paths and new jobs now that the 45th president is no longer in office.
Just last week, Americans learned that former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany will join Fox News as a contributor. Likewise, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, another former Trump administration press secretary, is currently campaigning to become the next governor of Arkansas.
A considerable spotlight has been placed on former Vice President Mike Pence. Following the end of the Trump administration, Pence took up leadership positions within the Heritage Foundation and Young America’s Foundation.
Now, Breitbart News is reporting that the former vice president will deliver a political keynote speech in April 2021.
A Closer Look at Pence’s Upcoming Speech
On April 29, Pence is scheduled to speak at South Carolina’s Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. During this time, the former vice president will share keynote remarks to the Palmetto Family Council, marking his very first serious public event since the exit of the Trump administration.
Pence declined to speak at the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference and has taken a more low-key approach in the weeks since leaving the White House. However, aides to the former vice president indicate that he is increasingly willing to get back into the public eye and continue his involvement in politics.
Great Vote last night by @HouseGOP against HR1! This so-called For the People Act is an unconstitutional, reckless, and anti-democratic bill that could permanently damage our republic.

While Americans haven’t seen much of the former vice president over the past several weeks, he’s been fairly active on social media. Last week, Pence lauded House Republicans for voting against Democrats’ H.R.1, a bill that would give the federal government unprecedented power over state-run elections.
Mike Pence 2024?
With the news of Pence’s upcoming keynote speech, there are rumors that he may be considering a presidential run in 2024; however, the former vice president has not publically confirmed or denied this.
According to a poll amongst Trump voters for the second-best choice of a 2024 nominee (after Trump himself of course) Pence and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis each came in at 22%. Others listed after Pence and DeSantis were South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Nikki Haley, Marco Rubio, etc.
Thanks again, @RepublicanStudy. Great to be with House Conservatives! 🇺🇸 https://t.co/CwUS69nWQA

During Trump’s CPAC 2021 speech last month, he teased the prospect of seeking another White House term in the 2024 presidential election. Time will ultimately determine which candidates throw their hats in the ring for the next presidential race.
