In Georgia, GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler is one of two Republicans running for re-election in the runoffs. Loeffler, who is in a race against Democrat Raphael Warnock, is joined by fellow GOP Sen. David Perdue; Perdue currently faces a challenge from Democrat Jon Ossoff.
Both Loeffler and Perdue have enjoyed support and endorsements from top conservatives, along with various right-wing PACs and organizations. Vice President Mike Pence has made several stops to Georgia to campaign for Loeffler and Perdue. Meanwhile, President Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump have also rallied and endorsed the two GOP senators.
In any campaign, fundraising is important, seeing as funds allow candidates to continue forward. According to Newsmax, funding for Loeffler’s senatorial campaign has significantly increased as the deadline for the Georgia special elections gets nearer.
A Closer Look at the Loeffler Campaign’s Fundraising
Over the past eight weeks, Loeffler’s senatorial campaign has managed to rake in $64 million dollars. This amount is more than twice what the Georgia Republican pulled in from the latest 11 months.
For a notable period of time, Loeffler actually managed to fund her campaign with her own capital. While donors have given to the senator’s campaign, she’s largely kept it afloat with the use of “in-kind contributions” and various loans.
However, in the final weeks of the Georgia special elections, Loeffler has roughly $21.3 million dollars for her campaign to use.

Loeffler’s extensive fundraising across Georgia is a likely contributing factor to the surge of donations over the past two months. The senator has spoken to many Peach State residents about the importance and necessity of voting, along with all that hangs in the balance during these runoffs.
Earlier this month, Loeffler also participated in a debate sponsored by the Atlanta Press Club against Warnock.
Ten Days Left
As of this Saturday, there are precisely ten days left until the Georgia runoffs come to a close. Already, more than two million Georgia residents have cast their votes in these special elections.

The outcome of the races between Perdue vs. Ossoff and Loeffler vs. Warnock will impact the Senate majority. In order for the GOP to remain in control of the Senate, they must defeat at least one of the Georgia Democrats currently running.
