GOP Moves to Impeach Biden’s Top Pro-Illegal Immigration Official

The newly-sworn-in Republican majority in the House of Representatives moved to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, who seems to be staunchly in favor of gigantic illegal immigration.

Biden, Mayorkas Lost Operational Control of the Border

Since Sleepy Joe occupied the White House two years ago, he and his Department of Homeland Security chief have presided over an utterly scandalous invasion of America by some six million illegal immigrants.

That includes between one and two million undetected gotaways, according to the estimates of Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

After the top House Republican, Kevin McCarthy, got elected House Speaker last Friday, Republican Rep. Pat Fallon of Texas filed the long-anticipated articles of impeachment against DHS head Alejandro Mayorkas, Fox News reported.

The GOP proposes that Mayorkas be impeached for his “high crimes and misdemeanors” under a bill called House Resolution 8 submitted to the House Judiciary Committee.

In a statement made last week, in which he vowed to launch the impeachment of Biden’s woke border chief as soon as possible, Fallon declared that Mayorkas’ policies and actions “undermined law enforcement” at America’s southern border.

He insisted the Biden Cabinet member committed perjury by telling Congress during two congressional hearings last year – in April and November – that the border was “secure,” even though the DHS has practically lost operational control over it on Biden’s watch.

Fallon added that Mayorkas repeatedly broke the law and destroyed the morale of the US Border Patrol, thus menacing America’s national security.

Mayorkas’ Impudence Hard to Describe

A report from last week claimed the first article of impeachment against Biden’s Homeland Security secretary would focus on his failure to observe the 2006 “Secure the Fence Act,” which requires nothing short of full-fledged operational control over the US land and maritime borders.

The second article of impeachment would charge Mayorkas with violating his oath to the American Constitution with his “perjurious, false, and misleading” testimonies to the US Congress on the border’s condition.

The third and final article refers to the Biden official’s lies that US Border Patrol officers “whipped” illegal Haitian immigrants in the border’s Del Rio sector back in September 2021.

It is noted that a US Customs and Border Protection report of 511 pages found no evidence to support the “whipping” claims.

In November, during a visit to the border at El Paso, Texas, future House Speaker Kevin McCarthy urged Mayorkas to resign as Secretary of Homeland Security or risk getting impeached by the new Congress.

Earlier this week, in an ABC News interview, Biden’s woke border chief defied the Republicans, declaring he had no intention whatsoever to quit his position, claiming he was prepared to face any GOP House investigations into his work.

Reacting to McCarthy’s remarks in November, a DHS spokesperson attacked the members of Congress who are critical of Mayorkas’ pro-illegal immigration stance, advising them to “point fingers” at one another and “overhaul” America’s “broken immigration system.”
