D.C. statehood is something that Democrats desperately want for the sake of more power and control.
Weeks ago, debates in Congress broke out regarding D.C. statehood; Democrats were all for it, claiming that statehood for Washington D.C. is necessary representation. Meanwhile, Republicans pointed out the logistical and constitutional problems with making D.C. the 51st state.
It has already been established that President Biden is supportive of turning Washington D.C. into a state. Therefore, if a bill for D.C. statehood were to arrive on Biden’s desk, he would sign it into law in a heartbeat.
According to Breitbart News, 22 Republican state attorney generals have written to both the president and Congress in regards to D.C. statehood.
GOP State Attorney Generals on D.C. Statehood
In the letter, Republican attorney generals do not hold anything back. Quite simply, the letter informs that attempting to pass D.C. statehood via Congress is not legal; in fact, the only legal means by which Washington D.C. can become a state is by amending the United States Constitution.
GOP state attorney generals also made clear that swift action will follow if Biden and Democrat lawmakers attempt to pass D.C. statehood via congressional legislation.

Republicans also noted that Congress doesn’t have the authority to make D.C. the 51st state; this came after the GOP leaders informed that “every legal tool at [their] disposal” would be used if Biden and Democrats in Washington ignore the constitutional reality regarding making Washington D.C. a state.
Already, a Washington D.C. Democrat has introduced H.R. 51 to turn D.C. into an American state. The viewpoints shared by GOP state attorney generals are also shared by legal scholars in the United States. These scholars have previously confirmed that any attempts to pass D.C. statehood via legislation would ultimately get overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Socialist Takeover of America
D.C. statehood is only one of several radical changes that Democrats aim to impose upon the United States. H.R. 1, the PRO Act, packing the Supreme Court, etc., are some additional examples.
In essence, Democrats want to rig the game and the rules so that they have ultimate power and can never lose. This, in essence, is an attempted socialist takeover of the country.

Now, Republicans in all levels of leadership have a duty to push back on this and preserve sacred American values, such as freedom, liberty, and individual rights.
