Heroic Cops in Nashville Shooting Prove Uvalde Officers Were Cowards

The swift, decisive, and heroic police reaction in the recent school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee exposed the lies of law enforcement cowards in last year’s school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

Bravery in Nashville

In May 2022, a former student of Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, rampaged the institution for one hour and 14 minutes; the local police stood idle until a border police force intervened to gun down the shooter.

In contrast, on Monday, March 27, 2023, brave and decisive police officers from Nashville prevented what could have been a much bigger bloodbath by killing the shooter only 14 minutes after the start of the attack.

The actual police actions for eliminating the Nashville shooter took only six minutes from the time of arrival of the police units, as evidenced by a six-minute bodycam footage video released by the local police, a report by The Federalist points out.

The video is shot by the body cameras of Michael Collazo and Rex Engelbert, who were among the first officers to arrive on the scene at Covenant Presbyterian School in Nashville.

The report stresses that Collazo, Engelbert, and their colleagues likely “saved numerous lives” by moving to tackle the shooter immediately and doing so with “determination, urgency, and skill.

Cowardice in Uvalde

The courage of the Nashville cops serves as a reminder of how the police in Uvalde failed to respond to the Robb Elementary shooting.

Instead, they were sitting in a hallway and in the parking lot, busy “debating what to do.” According to The Federalist, if the Uvalde police had acted the way their counterparts in Nashville did, they might have saved many of the 19 kids who got murdered.

One of the most shocking moments in Uvalde massacre was one of the cops actually aimed a rifle at the shooter before the latter penetrated the school. However, the police officer didn’t shoot because he wanted to get his boss’ permission first.

According to The Federalist, the police department in Uvalde continues to float “rickety justifications” to find excuses for its “cowardice and ineptitude.”

For instance, a recent piece in the Texas Tribune wrote that the officers had been intimidated by the shooter’s military-style rifle.
