The 2024 presidential election is already being widely discussed and talked about. On the Republican side, Americans are more than eager to take back the White House and ensure that Joe Biden is a one-term president. Some names that have come up regarding possible 2024 Republican nominees are Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence, etc.
On the Democrat side, the possibility of Joe Biden seeking re-election in 2024 is shaky. Even the 46th president himself hasn’t committed to running for a second term; Biden will be 82 in 2024 and there’s no telling where he’ll be mentally or whether or not he’ll be in any position to run for a second term as president.
However, the story is very different for Kamala Harris. In fact, Washington Examiner reports that the vice president may run for the White House in 2024.
The Possibility of Kamala Harris 2024
In this month alone, the Washington Post reported that the current vice president is reportedly establishing a brand to seek the presidency in 2024. According to the Zogby Poll, Harris’ approval rating currently stands at 53%, with her status as the first female vice president playing a major role in this.

In order for Harris to succeed Biden as president, pollsters believe that looking to Biden to learn more about the correct model and blueprint will play an important role. The reality that Biden may not even seek a second term will also be yet another factor that potentially clears the way for Harris to pursue the Democrat Party’s nomination.
What a Harris Presidency Would Mean
If Harris were to run for president, she’d likely build off the policies of the Biden administration, just as Biden did with Obama. In some regards, Harris is viewed as even further to the left than the current president; in 2019, Harris actually earned the rating as the most liberal senator in Congress.

Whether or not Harris becomes the 47th president will largely depend on whether or not Biden seeks re-election. The 2024 GOP nominee will also play a major role as well. Biden’s presidency and the policies he’s subsequently passing have ignited the GOP and increased Republicans’ eagerness to restore the White House to a GOP president.
