As Democrats prepare for the New Hampshire primary, their obsession with convincing left-wing voters of their ability to defeat Trump continues to mount. Democrat candidates have used everything from promises of free healthcare, free housing, etc. to attacks on the president’s base as a means of promoting themselves. However, what leftist presidential contenders repeatedly fail to realize is that the aforementioned tactics are doomed for failure.

The latest 2020 Democrat to attack the president’s base is Sen. Amy Klobuchar. On Monday, the Minnesota senator targeted Trump supporters, indirectly implying that this group lacks patriotism and decency, as reported by Townhall. Klobuchar isn’t the first Democrat to disparage the president’s base and she certainly won’t be the last.
Reviewing Klobuchar’s Remarks on Trump and His Base
According to Klobuchar, the 2020 presidential election entails a “decency check” and “patriotism check” on Trump.
During an interview with MSNBC, the senator and 2020 candidate also tied in the few senators who voted to convict the president, claiming that Trump is immoral and “has got to go.” These remarks come as Klobuchar continues the crusade to paint herself as a candidate who can win over voters across the aisle. However, the mask always slips at one point or another.
Klobuchar’s statements about decency, patriotism, and the inference of Trump supporters lacking these attributes is nothing new; Democrats’ entire political brand relies upon falsely painting themselves as morally superior while attacking the character of their opponents. The Minnesota senator is no exception to this rule, seeing as she’s repeatedly made outlandish and outrageous comments about Trump with no supporting evidence whatsoever.
Projection in Politics
Democrats have a tendency to project their problems and shortcomings onto Republicans and it’s actually quite sad.
Leftists accuse conservatives of racism every chance they get, yet turn around and claim that race makes someone either inherently oppressive or inherently disadvantaged. Democrats talk about wanting opportunity for all Americans, but then support fiscal policies that kill small businesses and stifle innovation. Despite their delusions, leftists are not, at all, morally superior to Republicans or anyone else.

If Amy Klobuchar truly harbors concerns about a lack of decency and patriotism, she need not look any further than her own party. Democrats are so engulfed by corruption and hatred for America that it’s become their political trademark. Therefore, the left has quite a bit of work to do within their own ranks before they start scolding Trump supporters about decency and patriotism.
