Democrats have truly done a number on many college kids of today. By promising various free handouts, such as erasure from student loan debt, leftists are blocking young people from understanding how the real world works.
Debt, of any kind, does not simply vanish into thin air; it has to be paid for and the Democrats’ plan of supposedly “canceling” student loan debt only entails the redistribution of debt to folks who never asked for it.

A new study conducted by College Pulse shows that the majority of leftist college students favor having Elizabeth Warren as the 2020 nominee for the Democrat Party. Data shows that Warren currently ranks at 32% amongst liberal college students, while Bernie Sanders trails behind Warren at 27%.
It’s no coincidence that the two leading candidates amongst Democrat college students are extremely far-left socialists and all in favor of so-called free handouts and erasure of debt.
What You Need to Know About Leftist College Students and Their Support for Warren
For those of us who live in the real world and understand how economics work, it may seem shocking that so many young people are rallying behind a candidate like Elizabeth Warren.
However, attention to detail and context are so very important here. Warren is selling a fantasy to college students; that’s why she’s leading amongst this particular demographic.
There was a time when college genuinely provided an environment for higher education and success in America. Unfortunately, this has changed; the vast majority of college professors are deeply liberal and liberal ideologies are generally promoted as proper and virtuous to students on college campuses.
When you combine that type of indoctrination with a lack of real-world knowledge and a candidate who talks about erasing your student loan debt, the support for Warren makes sense, despite it being inherently misguided.
Both Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders are viewed favorably by a whopping 89% of left-wing college kids.
The Truth About Student Loan Debt
It’s deeply unfortunate that so many college students are being lulled into a false sense of security by charlatans like Elizabeth Warren. There is no canceling or erasing debt; that’s not how the real world works. Even if Warren did somehow weasel her way into the White House, legislation to cancel trillions of dollars of student loan debt would have to make it through Congress.
At the rate that things are going, Republicans will strengthen their majority in the Senate and perhaps even regain control of the House. Even in a hypothetical scenario with Warren in the White House and Democrats maintaining their House majority, the legislation that she’s talking about would never make it through a GOP Senate.
Furthermore, “canceling” student loan debt would prompt massive tax increases on Americans and destroy this nation’s economy.

What college students need to understand is there are no free lunches. When young people take out these massive loans from the government, they do so with the agreement of paying back those funds.
College is not the only option for young people to pursue after high school; those who are not comfortable with having student loans should perhaps consider other alternatives aside from college.
