Liberal political commentators have been extremely frustrated since Elon Musk acquired Twitter. Long-time MSNBC guest and radio host Dean Obeidallah noted he would investigate Elon Musk’s immigration records to deprive him of American citizenship.
Obeidallah Wants to Snatch Elon Musk’s Citizenship
Obeidallah, a self-proclaimed comedian, was outraged after discovering Elon Musk successfully acquired Twitter. This frustration led him to tweet that he was filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to see if Elon Musk lied in his immigration application.
Musk was born and raised in South Africa before he moved to the United States in 1995. Obeidallah added Musk might have lied in his immigration application, which would be consequential in depriving him of American citizenship.
Similarly, Obeidallah asserted that Musk needed to give his consent on a FOIA request to release his immigration documents to the public. If Musk does not give his consent to share his records, everyone needs to ask him what he is trying to hide.

Obeidallah started facing backlash from Twitter users right after his tweet.
Political observers established Obeidallah wants to prosecute a person based on immigration laws, despite belonging to the left, which supports lenient immigration policies.
Mike Hahn, the deputy digital director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, quoted the remarks of the other liberals to school Obeidallah, who claimed no human being is illegal to justify open border policies.
Likewise, one political commentator, Joe Matthews, asked Obeidallah why he started to care about immigration laws all of a sudden.
In addition to that, podcaster Noam Blum maintained Obeidallah loves immigrants, but he is ready to prosecute an immigrant for political gain.

Leftists Lashed Out Against Obeidallah
Furthermore, Attorney Payton Alexander said people like Obeidallah are insecure about their positions, so they have started spitting venom against Elon Musk.
Criminal justice lawyer CJ Ciaramella told Obeidallah he was a poor comedian, but now, he is a bad lawyer as well.
One First Amendment lawyer, Ari Cohn, said these types of tweets are expected from people like Obeidallh, as he was suspended for 12 years in his legal career.
While Obeidallah pledges to prosecute Musk on his immigration records, he previously endorsed the open border policies of the Biden administration.
When Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Obeidallah slammed the Florida governor for promoting human trafficking.
During the presidency of Donald Trump, Obeidallah backed Democrats in their demands of abolishing US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), claiming border law enforcement is ripping families apart.
Not only this, but Obeidallah also accused Trump of manipulating Americans by claiming Democrats want to see open borders.
Obeidallah has yet to criticize the Biden administration for surging illegal immigration at the southern border; law enforcement encountered more than two million illegal immigrants in the current fiscal year.
