Things are not looking good for Michigan.
After over a year of shutdowns, mask mandates, and intense restrictions imposed upon businesses, the liberal state is still leading America in new coronavirus cases and hospitalizations. Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer has requested from the Biden administration more vaccine doses; however, the White House publicly declined this request.
Now, Governor Whitmer is openly talking about extending restrictions in Michigan for another six months. This is not the worst of it, though.
According to Newsmax, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is urging Michigan to fully shut down again.
Why the CDC Wants Michigan to Go Back on Lockdown
On Monday, CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky didn’t hesitate to endorse more shutdowns and government control. Walensky, who previously claimed that racism is a public health crisis in the United States, stated that increasing Michigan COVID-19 cases are all the more reason to “close things down.”

According to the CDC director, Michigan must “go back to the basics,” increase testing, lessen human contact, and flatten the curve. Walensky then dismissed the possibility of increasing COVID-19 vaccinations in lieu of shutdowns, stating that the impacts of more immunizations would not be seen until at least two weeks to six weeks.
There have also been talks about different coronavirus variants making their way throughout Michigan.
Will Michigan Heed the CDC’s Advice?
All things considered, it is highly likely that Michigan will return to lockdowns in just a matter of time. Democrats have been screaming from the rooftops that everyone should “listen to the experts” in spite of the harm and damage that may stem from “the experts'” advice.
Whitmer’s already begun talking about another six months of new restrictions. The Democrat governor has also started urging people to refrain from in-person sports and otherwise isolate themselves from one another.

The CDC director did not acknowledge that Michigan’s high case numbers come in spite of shutdowns and mask mandates in the leftist state. News about the CDC’s recommendations for Michigan to shut it all down again comes amid Democrat states embracing mandatory vaccine passport programs.
