Mitch McConnell Just Reacted to Possible Trump 2024 Run

The possibility of a Trump 2024 campaign run remains very much alive and well.

The former president has hinted on numerous occasions that he’s planning a third run for the Oval Office. Yet, due to campaign finance reasons, Trump has yet to officially declare his candidacy.

Some figures in political and social circles are indicating that Trump would be better off not running. Business magnate Elon Musk, for instance, believes Ron DeSantis should go for the presidency and Trump should fade off quietly.

Then, there are others in the GOP who also believe for various reasons that having a different candidate would benefit the party.

In a new twist, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell just released a very interesting statement concerning a Trump 2024 presidential run, as reported by The Hill.

Over Before It Begins?

During a press conference this week, McConnell was asked how he’d react if the former president decided to make another run for the White House.

Specifically, the reporter pressed on whether the Senate Minority Leader would remain neutral or actually resist Trump’s efforts to make it back into the Oval Office.

To this end, McConnell stated Trump would find himself facing a GOP primary field that’s quite “crowded” if he chooses to seek re-election yet again. The Senate Minority Leader then said the particulars of this would begin to unfold at a later date.

McConnell and Trump haven’t had the best relationship, especially since the 2020 presidential election’s outcome. The former president routinely takes shots at McConnell as well, calling him a RINO and an “old crow.”

The Senate Majority Leader’s remarks about a Trump 2024 run have been widely interpreted on social media as a thinly veiled warning shot against the former president.

The One Chance to Make Biden a One-term President

Regardless of whether or not Trump runs for the White House in 2024, this election will be the singular chance to prevent Biden from getting a second term, assuming that he runs.

Many Democrats are saying they don’t think it’s a good idea for Biden to pursue the Oval Office again. However, the current president remains adamant that he’s got every intention of running once more.

Ironically, Biden’s even been on record claiming the thought of a Trump 2024 campaign increases his likelihood of running for another presidential term. It is Biden’s view that he’s the only Democrat with the power to prevent Trump from getting a second term in office.

Meanwhile, much of Biden’s own party and base disagree.

What do you think about Mitch McConnell’s remarks regarding a potential Trump 2024 run? Do you feel Trump should run for president yet again? We’re looking forward to learning your thoughts on all of this below in the comments area.
