Coronavirus vaccines from both Pfizer and Moderna have received the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)’s go-ahead for distribution. More than one million Americans already accepted a vaccine for COVID-19; meanwhile, millions of fresh new vaccine batches are being shipped to communities across the nation.
Now, the coronavirus vaccine continues to be a source of controversy. Despite the government marketing this vaccine as a paramount tool for stopping COVID-19, some folks still have their concerns. In a nutshell, these concerns ultimately boil down to whether or not this shot went through the proper protocols and testing to be truly deemed as safe.
These concerns surged amid breaking reports of multiple allergic reactions, fainting, and anaphylactic shock episodes happening after individuals received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
Now, Washington Examiner confirms that a physician in Massachusetts is the first known person to suffer an allergic reaction from the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
The Allergic Reaction from the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine
Geriatric oncologist Dr. Hossein Sadrzadeh did not respond pleasantly after receiving the Moderna vaccine for COVID-19. The doctor noted that his “anaphylactic reaction” mirrored that of when he congested shellfish; Sadrzadeh quickly broke into a cold sweat, suffered severe declines in blood pressure, and even lost feeling in his tongue.
The allergic reaction was so severe that the geriatric oncologist had to be transported to the emergency room. Thankfully, Sadrzadeh also managed to combat the allergic reaction caused by the vaccine with an EpiPen. Since the incident, the doctor has stated that he doesn’t want anybody else to go through the allergic reaction that he experienced.
Vaccine shot immediately causes severe allergic reaction, dizziness, and racing heat beat. The patient, an oncologist, was promptly treated with an epinephrine shot, rushed to the emergency room for tests, then released later the same day. #Moderna coronavirus vaccination https://t.co/8XeHlYDSO4

News of this incident broke days ago. It also follows a pattern; multiple individuals have also suffered allergic reactions from the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine as well. The anaphylactic shock, allergic reactions, and other adverse responses maintain as the healthcare communities continue to insist that the public shouldn’t have concerns about taking a vaccine for COVID-19.
A Safe Vaccine?
Healthcare professionals stress that allergic reactions are “rare” and should not be of massive concern. The specialists also remain very insistent that the public shouldn’t abstain from getting the vaccine; yet, many people have questions and reservations.

Some Americans already believed that the coronavirus vaccines were created and rushed to market too soon; the multiple reports of allergic reactions have only confirmed these beliefs for those that have them. Meanwhile, other people stated their decision to wait and see how others respond to the COVID-19 vaccine before getting it themselves.
