NAACP Under Fire For Issuing a Sham Advisory

Florida is a state that’s been consistently pulling in new residents for years on end. This has been especially driven by the leadership of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

During DeSantis’ first term as governor, things got started with Democrats in the state drastically outnumbering Republicans. However, by the time DeSantis won reelection in 2022, Republicans had a voter registration advantage over Democrats to the tune of nearly 300,000.

Despite the massive gains made in Florida, the National Association For the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) recently put out an advisory urging black Americans and other people of color that Florida isn’t a safe place.

However, these claims from the NAACP just aren’t in alignment with reality, as documented by Free Beacon.

Destroying the Lies With the Truth

The numbers show that in Florida, black individuals and other people of color enjoy higher employment levels, lower rates of crime, fewer deaths at the hands of police officers, and stronger salaries.

Interestingly enough, when the NAACP issued the aforementioned anti-Florida advisory, it did not cite any data whatsoever to back up its claims.

Meanwhile, conservatives both in and out of Florida have been rightfully calling out this advisory for the obvious political propaganda that it is.

The conditions for black Americans in various blue states — such as Delaware, California, and Washington state — also fall short in comparison to those in Florida.

The NAACP declined to address this particular matter.

Major Hypocrisy

When the NAACP put out a travel advisory cautioning people of color to steer clear of Florida, it likely forgot that its own chairman resides in the Sunshine State.

It didn’t take long for this to be discovered and pointed out accordingly on social media. If the organization truly believed its own claims about Florida, then surely its own chairman would have taken up residency in a different state.
