Many Americans remember Christina Pushaw as the press secretary of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. However, since Pushaw recently joined DeSantis’ 2022 gubernatorial reelection team, the slot for a new press secretary opened up.
DeSantis is well on his way to a second term in the Sunshine State’s governor’s mansion. For one thing, he’s outraised every single Democrat running to take his seat many times over. Furthermore, the Florida governor also leads each Democrat in the polls by several points.
With Pushaw now working to help get the Florida governor reelected, Bryan Griffin is now DeSantis’ new press secretary. To say that Griffin is off to a wonderful start would be an understatement, as reported by Hot Air.
A Close Review of Griffin’s Work as DeSantis’ Press Secretary
On Thursday morning, Griffin released a Twitter thread that shows the various ways the mainstream media responded to Joe Biden signing the Inflation Reduction Act vs. its coverage of DeSantis signing the Parental Rights in Education legislation months prior.
Coverage of the Inflation Reduction Act signing was puffed up and clearly meant to portray the bill, Democratic lawmakers, and Biden in a positive, happy light.

Meanwhile, when the media covered the Florida governor signing Parental Rights in Education, negative viewpoints were represented more than positive ones.
The media also couldn’t be bothered to include imagery from the actual signing of the bill like they did with Biden and the Inflation Reduction Act.
By DeSantis’ new press secretary shining a light on all of this, he certainly demonstrated that there is anti-right bias in the mainstream media, no matter how much Democrats try to feign otherwise.
Pushing Ahead Anyway
The Florida governor has never been one to let the media dictate his policies or his leadership of the Sunshine State.
In another Twitter post, Griffin drew attention to Florida’s low unemployment numbers and the new growth in private sector jobs for last month.
This comes on top of legions of Americans moving to Florida to make this state home, largely due to the policies put in place by DeSantis.

Outside of DeSantis’ work as governor, there’s been a lot of conversation about whether he could run for office in the 2024 presidential election.
That remains to be seen; although for now, DeSantis has been transparent that his focus lies with continuing to deliver for the people of the Sunshine State.
In certain GOP 2024 polls, DeSantis has come out on top nonetheless, even ahead of former President Trump.
