Beto O’Rourke’s remarks on door-to-door gun confiscations came on Wednesday morning during an interview with MSNBC. Although the 2020 Democrat mentioned “consequences” for Americans who don’t hand over their firearms, this morning marks O’Rourke’s first mention of door-to-door gun confiscations. Once again, this shows the extent to which Democrats are willing to use the government to carry out their dirty work.
The Second Amendment clearly states, “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Door-to-door confiscations of guns are eerily reminiscent of a police state and they most certainly infringe upon the inherent rights to defend oneself from a tyrannical government.
O’Rourke’s precise words on the matter read as follows:
“There have to be consequences. In that case, I think there would be a visit by law enforcement to recover that firearm and to make sure that it is purchased, bought back, so that it cannot potentially be used against somebody else.”

The fact that a presidential candidate of a major political party is talking about door-to-door gun grabs is precisely why the Second Amendment exists. O’Rourke believes that you ought to hand your firearms over to the government, even if you’ve never committed a crime.
