Gabbard Remains Committed to 2020 Race, Despite Missing Third Primary Debate

0

As the stakes in the 2020 presidential election increase, several candidates have chosen to drop out. The two factors linking 2020 drop-outs are low poll numbers and failing to meet the criteria to appear on the third primary debate stage later this month.

To be clear, the DNC mandated that attendees of the third debate obtain 130,000 individual donors and reach 2% in four national or early state voting polls. Multiple Democrat candidates who knew they couldn’t meet these thresholds ultimately chose to end their presidential campaigns.

However, not all contenders who won’t make the third debate chose to simply bow out of the 2020 race. Tulsi Gabbard is one of the candidates who failed to meet the aforementioned debate criteria; however, she’s not letting this stop her from campaigning.

Gabbard also recently took two weeks off to train with the Army National Guard. Now, she’s back and determined to continue running for president, as documented by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

A Closer Look at the Tulsi 2020 Campaign

On Saturday, Gabbard spent time in Atlanta, Georgia in order to speak with attendees and voters at a town hall. During the event, Gabbard noted that the press has regularly asked whether or not she would ultimately drop out of the 2020 presidential election since failing to make the criteria to appear on the third debate stage in Houston, Texas.

Much to the elation of the Atlanta’s town hall audience, Gabbard very clearly articulated her determination to remain in the race. Her specific comments on the situation read as follows:

“Hell, no! Hell, no! If any of them had been listening to what I’ve been saying about what this movement is about, about why I’m running for president, and what is at stake, they would understand why we are here and why we will never quit.”

In recent weeks, Gabbard has censured the DNC’s determination of eligible polls to appear in the upcoming debate. At this time, Gabbard is at about 1.4% in the polls.

A Major Campaign Hit

Failing to appear on any debate stage is a major blow to any candidate’s campaign, especially one who is polling in the single digits. During Gabbard’s attendance at the second primary debate, she went after fellow 2020 contender Kamala Harris over the latter’s actions during her time as a prosecutor.

Gabbard’s confrontation of Harris garnered significant attention and praise from Democrats, although the momentum was not enough to get Gabbard to the next debate. At this point, only time will tell what lies ahead for Gabbard’s campaign. Additional candidates, like Tom Steyer and Marianne Williamson, have failed to meet the thresholds to appear on the third debate stage, yet still remain in the 2020 race…for now.

Which Democrat is now most likely to end their campaign to become president? How long do you think Tulsi Gabbard will remain in the race? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments section below!

Trump’s Personal Assistant Let Go for Statements Regarding President’s Daughters…

0

When working for the president (or anyone for that matter), gossiping about their relatives in public is not really the best idea. This is a pretty general rule, although it’s something which Madeleine Westerhout learned the hard way, according to Breitbart News. Westerhout began working for President Trump in 2016 and served as his personal assistant since the beginning of his time in the White House up until Thursday, August 29, 2019.

Westerhout’s service as the president’s assistant abruptly ended after she made comments about his daughters, Ivanka and Tiffany Trump, during an off-the-record dinner with reports. Word got back to President Trump about Westerhout’s statements and she was “automatically” let go. Some reports are claiming that Westerhout resigned, whereas others state that she was forced to resign and ultimately fired.

A Thorough Look at Comments Which Ended Westerhout’s Employment

In essence, the president’s former assistant told reporters that she maintained a better relationship with Trump than his own daughters. Furthermore, Westerhout claimed that the president didn’t wish to appear in photographs with Tiffany Trump because he allegedly believes his youngest daughter is overweight.

Since the release of these reports, the president has denied these claims, affirming that he loves both his daughters and will be speaking with Tiffany. Trump also informed reporters that Westerhout had a few drinks and a “bad night” when she made the aforementioned statements. Nevertheless, the president maintains that he spoke with Westerhout and ultimately “wished her well” following the end of her employment with the White House.

More Details on Westerhout’s Time with the White House

Thus far, the president’s daughters have not publicly spoke out about the statements from Madeleine Westerhout. Nevertheless, it is not shocking that the comments got back to the president, especially since Westerhout shared them with members of the press.

Additional reports regarding Westerhout’s employment within the White House suggest that certain people might have carried grudges against her. Other aides in the West Wing are said to have tired of Westerhout’s alleged attempts to supersede her duties as a personal assistant and handle issues regarding foreign travel.

Since Madeleine Westerhout’s departure from the White House, she has not issued any statements about her version of events.

What are your thoughts on the exit of the president’s longtime personal assistant? Do you think additional details regarding this matter will come to light? Let us know in the comments section below!

Biden Claims Illegal Immigrants “Become American” Before U.S. Citizens…

0

As the 2020 presidential election continues to play out, immigration is being discussed more and more frequently. Virtually all of the Democrat candidates have maintained the incorrect narrative that President Trump is brutalizing illegal immigrants and asylum seekers at the Southern border. Democrats are also supportive of amnesty and even decriminalizing the act of illegally entering the United States altogether.

On Thursday, Joe Biden very clearly articulated his stance on immigration. While speaking at Clinton College in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Biden provided quite an interesting analysis of illegal immigration.

Breitbart News reports Biden’s claim that illegal immigrants “become American” before American citizens do. Clearly, this is illogical and simply untrue. Sneaking across the border and remaining in the country afterward makes someone a criminal, not an American citizen.

Why Does Biden View Illegal Immigrants as American Citizens?

When explaining why he views illegal immigrants as more American than citizens of this country, Biden cited the actions of certain migrants who have unlawfully entered the country. The former vice president conveniently neglected to mention instances where illegal immigrants commit crimes against U.S. citizens. Instead, Biden lauded illegal immigrants as individuals who positively contribute to society.

His precise words on the matter read as follows:

“We have to find a pathway for Dreamers, these kids who come, and they end up doing well. They become American before a lot of Americans become Americans. No, I’m serious, they get in school, they do well; they contribute to the community, they contribute to the country.”

The former vice president also went on to allege that the Statue of Liberty is an invitation for illegal border crossings. Finally, Biden opined that border detention centers should be “closed down.”

Upholding the Law of the Land

At this point, it’s quite unfortunate that Biden would declare illegal immigrants as more American than U.S. citizens. It’s not only a slap in the face to the American people, but it also displays a chilling disregard for legal immigrants who have lawfully become citizens of this country. It’s so interesting how quickly Democrats forget about legal immigrants as they champion and excuse unlawful border crossings.

There is nothing immoral, unethical, or bigoted about enforcing the immigration laws of the land. This is something which Biden should know by now, particularly since he is running to become the 46th president of the United States.

Biden Contradicts Wife, Says Just Beating Trump Isn’t Enough

0

In the wake of multiple blunders and a 13 point decline in a recent poll, Joe Biden is attempting to get his campaign back on track. The former vice president has faced immense criticism and the side-eye from voters in the wake of him conflating poverty with race, mistaking the time in which he served under former President Obama, and making many other gaffes.

As Biden continues to campaign across the country, his aides are still attempting to brand him as the “most electable” Democrat to challenge President Trump in the general election.

On Wednesday, Biden traveled to South Carolina in order to speak with voters. During his time on stage, the former vice president stated that running to beat Trump isn’t enough, as reported by Breitbart News. This is a point which many other Democrats have made, but particularly in the wake of comments from Jill Biden which clearly suggested otherwise.

What Does Biden View as Necessary for the 2020 Election?

When Biden spoke in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he pushed the narrative that a recession is coming and furthermore claimed that President Trump will attack various groups of people as a result of the supposedly forthcoming recession. This is not a new narrative; many people on the left regularly brand the president as a divisive individual who threatens the values of America.

Biden didn’t deviate from this pattern whatsoever, going as far as to claim that running to beat President Trump in 2020 isn’t enough.

In Biden’s own words:

“The fact of the matter is, I think we’re going to see his — all his worst instincts come out, both internationally and nationally, if the economy does, in fact, continue to slide. I think you’re going to see more attacks on immigrants, inflame racial division, tear the nation apart, and we  — so, we can’t just campaign to beat Donald Trump.”

President Trump has previously stated that Biden is not playing with a full deck, following the latter’s ongoing gaffes.

Contradicting His Wife

Biden’s statements about beating Trump in 2020 not being enough serves as a direct contradiction from remarks made by his wife, Jill Biden. Earlier this month, Jill spoke with Democrat voters and said they may need to “swallow a little bit” and support Biden, even if they don’t agree with him on policy standpoints.

Furthermore, Biden’s wife made the claim that he’s the most electable candidate with the greatest potential to bring in other voters, such as Independents and Republicans. These remarks didn’t go over well with other Democrat candidates. Cory Booker and Elizabeth Warren spoke out, following the remarks from Jill Biden; both Booker and Warren denounced the notion of nominating a “safe bet” candidate and only running for the sake of defeating the president.

Democrats Squabble Over Giving Americans “Free” Money

0

“Free” stuff is all the rage with the Democrat Party. Every candidate who is presently running to win their party’s nomination and challenge President Trump is offering “free” something, whether it’s “free” healthcare, “free” college, or in the case of 2020 hopeful Andrew Yang, “free” money.

The dirty little secret that Democrats won’t let their voters know is that nothing in life is free; one way or another, someone always foots the bill and, nine times out of ten, that ‘someone’ turns out to be the American taxpayers.

In Yang’s attempt to secure his party’s nomination, he wants to provide a “universal basic income” which would automatically give American citizens $1,000 per month. Breitbart News reports Yang’s claims that this monthly sum would supposedly improve communities and grow businesses. Interestingly enough, Yang is facing criticism from Bernie Sanders who disagrees with the idea of providing Americans with a “free” $1,000 per month.

What You Need to Know about Yang vs. Sanders

In a fascinating turn of events, Sanders opposes Yang’s universal basic income policy because he maintains that “people want to work.” Many people in this country DO want to work, but it’s actually shocking to hear that in light of Sanders’ support for socialism and policies which would actually hurt working people.

Nevertheless, Sanders issued the following statements in regards to Yang and universal basic income:

“The challenge that we face is how do we use technology to improve the lives of working people. So if you have a really terrible job, a boring job and we make your job better and we enable you to work 20 hours a week rather than 40 hours a week, it’s not a bad thing.
It means to say you still need an income to live by, we can’t cut your salaries in half. We take a very different approach from Mr. Yang and that is, I believe, in a jobs guarantee.”

Policy Contradictions

Sanders may be claiming that he opposes Yang’s policies because Americans want to work, but Sanders is no ally to working people either. On multiple occasions, he has articulated his support for raising the minimum wage, something which has been repeatedly linked to fewer hours, higher market prices, and job layoffs.

What’s important for Americans to bear in mind is that neither Bernie Sanders or Andrew Yang are going to aid the working men and women of this great nation; their policies each cause harm in unique ways.

Warren Hits Biden After “Swallow a Little Bit” Remarks

0

Joe Biden is having a tough time in the 2020 presidential election. Not only has he dropped massively in the polls, but he’s also taking various hits from all around the board. The former frontrunner’s multiple blunders have caused members of his own party to cringe and question whether Biden has the spine to truly go up against President Trump in a general election.

Now, Biden is facing censure from Elizabeth Warren who is presently leading him in the polls. On Sunday, Warren spoke before an audience of roughly 15,000 at Seattle, Washington’s International Fountain Park.

During this time, she seemingly issued an indirect response to Jill Biden who urged Democrat voters to “swallow a little bit” and vote for Biden, branding this as the best strategy to defeat President Trump. Warren had some choice words for the Biden camp in an apparent response to this sentiment, reports The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Reviewing Warren’s Message to Biden

Warren essentially made the case that in order for Democrats to win the 2020 election, they have to do more than simply be against President Trump. This is a commonly-held belief amongst progressives; many members of the progressive wing maintain that radical reforms, such as the Green New Deal, Medicare-for-All, etc are the best ways to ignite and energize voters. Critics of these policies, however, have stated that exclusively appealing to the far left is not a winning strategy for Democrats.

When speaking about this issue, Warren also tied in her thoughts on why she is the best candidate to win her party’s nomination:

“We’re not gonna win this by just saying ‘not Trump.’ It’s not enough to be ‘not Trump.’ I know how to fight and I know how to win.”

Playing the Losing Game

Regardless of where Democrats stand, they’re not in a very good position and President Trump will certainly be getting a second term. The reality is that the choices Democrat voters have are either radical progressive or a pseudo-centrist who cannot keep his foot out of his mouth.

No matter who Democrats nominate, their candidate isn’t going to do very well in the general election. Biden, with all his gaffes, would be absolutely destroyed on any debate stage with President Trump. Likewise, the radical policies of Sanders and Warren will serve as a turn off to Americans who are not hardcore progressives; this includes moderate Democrats, Independents, Republicans, and others.

Joe Walsh Challenges President Trump in GOP Primary Race

0

While in the minority, there have always been a subsection of Republicans who dislike President Trump. Throughout his presidency, Trump has maintained a 90%+ rating within the Republican Party; however, in 2016, Americans witnessed the emergence of “Never Trumpers.”

Never Trumpers served as members of the GOP who disliked the president due to his words, manner of speaking, and sometimes even his policies. Never Trumpers have routinely faced criticism from their pro-Trump counterparts; Republicans who support the president regularly branded Never Trumpers as RINOs or Republicans in Name Only.

At this point in the 2020 presidential election, a new Never Trumper has emerged. Joe Walsh, a Republican and former congressman, has officially announced his entry into the 2020 race, as reported by Townhall. By his own admission, Walsh previously supported Trump, although has now changed his mind.

Why is Walsh Challenging President Trump?

Walsh’s decision to challenge the president in this primary election is rooted in the former congressman’s exhaustion with “lies” and “drama” On Walsh’s campaign website, he slams President Trump for supposedly “[siding] with foreign dictators over our intelligence community” and “[spewing] hate virtually every time he opens his mouth.” Walsh also alleges that the president is “teaching millions of American children it’s okay to lie and it’s okay to bully.”

So, in essence, Walsh’s stance is that the president lacks moral character and has ultimately failed to act in the best interest of Americans. This is something which many Democrats agree with, although Republicans overwhelmingly have a different outlook, as evidenced by Trump’s strong approval rating with the Republican Party.

Earlier this morning, Walsh gave an interview which consisted of very incendiary language and accusations against President Trump. See for yourself:

More from Joe Walsh

Walsh maintains that the 2020 election marks a crossroads for the Republican Party. The former congressman issued claims that women, young people, and suburban people dislike the president, something which is not accurate. Nevertheless, with Trump serving as the incumbent candidate, the odds of him being the GOP’s nominee are very high.

In today’s interview, Walsh opined that the Republican Party will “get spanked” if Trump is the nominee.

What do you think about Joe Walsh’s decision to challenge President Trump? How do you think this will play out? Let us know your thoughts and predictions in the comments section below!

Pelosi Shuts Down Impeachment-Happy Democrats: “Public Isn’t There Yet.”

0

There are many Democrats who want to see President Trump impeached and removed from office. This has been a left-wing fantasy for years now, especially since Democrats vowed to “resist” Trump following his 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton. Throughout the infamous Mueller probe and even afterward, Democrats continued to call for the president’s impeachment; multiple congressional Democrats have attempted to file impeachment proceedings against Trump, but they’ve failed each time.

Now, Democrats are trying to give impeachment another go, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi isn’t having it. On Friday, Pelosi dismissed the idea during a call with Democrat caucus members, according to Breitbart News. The House Speaker’s failure to get behind the impeachment of President Trump has particularly irritated the progressive wing of the Democrat Party.

Why Isn’t Pelosi Supportive of Impeachment?

Pelosi has sparred with President Trump on multiple occasions and publicly censured him; however, whenever conversations turn to impeachment, the House Speaker doesn’t seem to support it.

During Pelosi’s call with Democrat caucus members, she stated that the American public is not behind the idea of impeaching the president. It’s also worth noting that Pelosi has previously cited impeachment as a measure which would be too divisive for the country.

The House Speaker’s statements on the matter read as follows:

“The public isn’t there on impeachment. It’s your voice and constituency, but give me the leverage I need to make sure that we’re ready and it is as strong as it can be. The equities we have to weigh are our responsibility to protect and defend the Constitution and to be unifying and not dividing…but if and when we act, people will know he gave us no choice. If he cannot respect the Constitution, we’ll have to deal with that. It’s about patriotism, not partisanship.”

Finally, Pelosi added that she has a “night guard” and struggles not to “grind [her] teeth all night” when thinking about events taking place in the White House.

A Thursday poll from the Monmouth University Polling Institute confirms that 59% of Americans disagree with the notion of impeaching President Trump.

What Missing “Leverage” Really Means

Pelosi’s refusal to move to impeach Trump, despite the growing calls from her party, may simply boil down to the fact that the president has not committed any impeachable offenses. This would explain why Pelosi stated that she needs “leverage” (or proof) in order to truly begin the process of impeachment.

Another likely factor is the House Speaker’s awareness that any impeachment proceedings would be killed in the Republican-controlled Senate. Pelosi might not openly state this, but she has to know that Trump isn’t going to be impeached. There’s no real merit to impeach the president; if there were, Pelosi wouldn’t be asking Democrats for “leverage.”

Biden Makes New Series of Blunders, Asks Audience to “Imagine” Obama Assassination!

0

Yesterday, 2020 frontrunner Joe Biden traveled to Hanover, New Hampshire in order to continue campaigning for the position of the United States president. Over the past few weeks, Biden’s campaign has struggled in the wake of various gaffes about serious events, such as the assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. and even his own time as vice president.

A Quick Review of Biden’s Newest Blunders

The aforementioned blunders, in addition to many others, have caused Democrats to cringe and question whether or not their frontrunner would be competent enough to spar with President Trump in a general election.

If yesterday’s event was designed to better Biden’s image, it failed miserably. During the frontrunner’s time in New Hampshire, he made a series of new blunders; these blunders include alleging that “40” children were killed at Kent State by the National Guard in 1970 and claiming that under his presidency, healthcare premiums will “increase” for the middle class. In actuality, four children were killed during the event Biden referenced, although his claim that healthcare premiums will increase was perhaps a Freudian slip instead of a gaffe.

However, Fox News reports that Biden’s most shocking statement of all involved asking audiences to image if Obama were assassinated in 2008.

Further Information

Biden’s cringeworthy assassination remark came during a town hall where he discussed his personal heroes. The former vice president cited Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., both men who were tragically assassinated.

Prior to yesterday’s event in New Hampshire, Biden also made a blunder regarding the decade in which Kennedy and King were killed; while Biden claimed the assassinations happened in “the late 70s,” both men were assassinated in the 1960s.

The frontrunner attempted to express the pain he felt after the deaths of Kennedy and King by asking his audience to consider what America would look like if someone had assassinated Obama in 2008.

In Biden’s own words:

“My two political heroes were Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy. My senior semester, they were both shot and killed. Imagine what would have happened if, God forbid, Barack Obama had been assassinated after becoming the de facto nominee. What would have happened in America?”

The Aftermath

Even for Biden, this is absolutely terrible and the reactions from the American people have proven as much. Members of Biden’s campaign have attempted to clean up the mess and claim that media sources are taking the frontrunner out of context, but his words were loud and clear.

It’s actually tough to believe that someone could make this many gaffes in one speech, especially after all of Biden’s previous blunders. It’s also tough not to wonder if Biden is purposefully misspeaking for some bizarre reason.

What do you think about Joe Biden’s latest gaffes and his assassination remark? Do you think the assertion of increasing healthcare premiums for the middle class was a Freudian slip?

Progressives Protest Outside of White House, Bemoan “Systemic Racism” and Poverty

0

There are various individuals in America who believe that “systemic racism,” poverty, and other complications are holding them back. In many cases, people of this mindset believe that anyone who isn’t white is somehow faced with this great plight and odds stacked against them. The Democrat Party has perpetuated this narrative, by promoting the alleged existence of “white privilege” and classifying groups of individuals as either collective oppressors or inherent victims.

Unfortunately, this false narrative is deeply internalized and causes people to act out in various ways. On Wednesday, a modest group of progressive protesters appeared outside of the White House, as documented by Breitbart News. The protesters accused the president of causing them to experience racism, mistreatment, and an inability to get ahead in America.

The Accusations Against the President

Over the course of President Trump’s time in office, he’s promoted policies which encourage legal immigration, hard work, job creation, and self-sufficiency. These values are often denounced by the left-wing who views various groups of people as incapable of standing on their own two feet. Ultimately, this poor mindset lead to the claims of racism and unjustness which protesters made outside of the White House on Wednesday.

One member of the small group even claimed that the Trump presidency is threatening the “safety” of everyone in America.

In her own words:

“I’ve had enough of the constant racist dehumanization and targeted attacks on people of color, private citizens, and elected officials from the White House. Have you? I’ve had enough of the systemic racism and the poverty that plagues our society and makes it impossible to thrive. Have you? I’ve had enough of waking up every day to the hateful, racist rhetoric demoralizing the integrity of our country and the safety of everyone in it.”

The Truth

There are various issues in America, but systemic racism is not one of them. There is no system in place which actively prohibits people of color from taking steps to thrive, improve, and advance. Ideas to the contrary are merely peddled by Democrats who have an agenda to remain in power, create problems, and then offer lackluster solutions.

Nobody can deny that poverty is an issue in America, but this ultimately comes down to making the right choices. Individuals who are born into poverty do not have to remain poor. There are countless people in this country who have worked their way up from nothing, thanks to capitalism, business ownership, and the free market. Standing outside of the White House and painting President Trump as an evil, villainous mastermind is a fallacy; it also doesn’t solve any of the problems which protesters are claiming to have in their personal lives.

At the end of the day, each individual is responsible for their own success or lack thereof.

What do you think of the words and conduct of the White House protesters? Sound off with your takeaways in the comments section below!
