At a time where coronavirus is having real-life impacts on countless Americans, the right priority is undoubtedly the preservation of our nation. The Trump administration understands this which explains their work with health officials and the president’s establishment of the coronavirus task force.
Republicans in Washington also understand the imperative nature of counteracting harm caused by COVID-19. This why conservative lawmakers seek to pass a stimulus plan designed to provide economic relief and other benefits to Americans.
Unfortunately, Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi couldn’t care less about the American people. This is evidenced by Pelosi’s decision to play petty politics and use coronavirus as a shot to pass far-left proposals, as documented by Breitbart News.
Reviewing Pelosi’s Attempt to Pull a Fast One
While the Republican Party works to preserve both public health and the economy, Speaker Pelosi is more interested in scoring a political win for Democrats. This explains Pelosi’s resolution to add a stipulation of $300 million dollars worth of taxpayer money to go to foreign refugees in her COVID-19 plan.

By contrast, the House Speaker only views American homeless youth and runaways as worthy of $100 million dollars while including just $15 million dollars for veterans’ offices designed to combat coronavirus.
Doing the math, Pelosi has deemed foreign refugees as worth three times more than our nation’s runaways/homeless youth and 20 times more than our veterans. That is nothing short of absolutely disgraceful.
Putting Petty Politics Over Americans’ Health and Wellbeing
The House Speaker’s attempt to pull a fast one is not mutually exclusive to just trying to send $300 million dollars worth of taxpayer dollars to foreign refugees.
Pelosi is additionally trying to bail out the postal service, harvest ballots, control airplane emissions, etc. These things have nothing to do with the provision of COVID-19 relief; however, Pelosi cares more about securing a win for Washington Democrats than about helping the American people during this unprecedented time.
This all serves as yet another example of Democrats claiming to be for working Americans and then proving the precise opposite when it’s time to take action.
