There are various individuals in America who believe that “systemic racism,” poverty, and other complications are holding them back. In many cases, people of this mindset believe that anyone who isn’t white is somehow faced with this great plight and odds stacked against them. The Democrat Party has perpetuated this narrative, by promoting the alleged existence of “white privilege” and classifying groups of individuals as either collective oppressors or inherent victims.
Unfortunately, this false narrative is deeply internalized and causes people to act out in various ways. On Wednesday, a modest group of progressive protesters appeared outside of the White House, as documented by Breitbart News. The protesters accused the president of causing them to experience racism, mistreatment, and an inability to get ahead in America.
The Accusations Against the President
Over the course of President Trump’s time in office, he’s promoted policies which encourage legal immigration, hard work, job creation, and self-sufficiency. These values are often denounced by the left-wing who views various groups of people as incapable of standing on their own two feet. Ultimately, this poor mindset lead to the claims of racism and unjustness which protesters made outside of the White House on Wednesday.
One member of the small group even claimed that the Trump presidency is threatening the “safety” of everyone in America.
In her own words:
“I’ve had enough of the constant racist dehumanization and targeted attacks on people of color, private citizens, and elected officials from the White House. Have you? I’ve had enough of the systemic racism and the poverty that plagues our society and makes it impossible to thrive. Have you? I’ve had enough of waking up every day to the hateful, racist rhetoric demoralizing the integrity of our country and the safety of everyone in it.”
The Truth
There are various issues in America, but systemic racism is not one of them. There is no system in place which actively prohibits people of color from taking steps to thrive, improve, and advance. Ideas to the contrary are merely peddled by Democrats who have an agenda to remain in power, create problems, and then offer lackluster solutions.
Nobody can deny that poverty is an issue in America, but this ultimately comes down to making the right choices. Individuals who are born into poverty do not have to remain poor. There are countless people in this country who have worked their way up from nothing, thanks to capitalism, business ownership, and the free market. Standing outside of the White House and painting President Trump as an evil, villainous mastermind is a fallacy; it also doesn’t solve any of the problems which protesters are claiming to have in their personal lives.
At the end of the day, each individual is responsible for their own success or lack thereof.
