Putin Threatened to Blow Up Britain’s Prime Minister ahead of Ukraine Invasion

Russia’s bloodthirsty dictator, Vladimir Putin, openly threatened Britain’s then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson by saying he would blow him up with a missile. This happened in a conversation the two had before Moscow invaded Ukraine in February 2022.

Johnson revealed the gruesome threat in an interview, but Putin’s lapdog, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov, rushed to deny the revelation as “lies.”

Putin Said He’d Blast BoJo ‘With Missile’ in One Minute

In a TV interview, Boris Johnson revealed in February 2022, before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he had an “extraordinary” conversation with the Moscow dictator.

Prior to that, Johnson had gone to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, to demonstrate the support of the West for Ukraine amid reports that Russians were preparing to attack.

The conversation one of the top western leaders, at the time, had with Putin was supposed to dissuade the Russian autocrat from going to an unprovoked war.

The effort was to no avail. The Moscow leader not only invaded Ukraine days later but, at the time, issued an ominous threat against Johnson himself. According to Johnson, Putin told him he didn’t “want to hurt” him, but it “would only take a minute” if he used a “missile.”

The then-Prime Minister of Britain said Putin employed a “very relaxed tone” and an “air of detachment” when issuing the threat. Johnson was trying to convince the Russian leader to “negotiate” instead of attacking Ukraine.

Johnson has been one of the top champions of western support for Ukraine against the barbaric Russian invasion and remains active in such efforts even though he is no longer the leader of Britain.

‘Very Awkward Situation’

In comments on Monday, Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, shamelessly accused Boris Johnson of lying, claiming the latter’s revelation that Putin threatened to kill him with a rocket was “more precisely, a lie.”

Peskov stated, as cited by Sky News, there were “threats of missiles” during the Johnson-Putin conversation last February. The Russian dictator’s spokesman claimed either Johnson was lying “deliberately” for some reason or misunderstood what Putin was saying to him.

Peskov claimed the atrocious Moscow tyrant complained if Ukraine were to join NATO, US missiles would be placed close to Russia’s borders and reach Moscow in minutes.

Never mind that neither the US nor any other member of the US-led NATO alliance ever expressed a desire to place any missiles whatsoever in Ukraine in order to attack Russia.

It is the Putin regime that, together with its state-run cohort of propagandists, routinely brags about how its own missiles are pointed at every western capital, near and far. It brags that nations such as the US, the UK, Germany, and Poland would be wiped off the face of the earth.

Peskov concluded his most probably lying refutation of Boris Johnson’s revelation, stating if the then-UK leader misunderstood Putin’s words, then a “very awkward situation” emerged.
