Racism Against Whites By the Minneapolis Teachers Union is Unacceptable

According to a contract renewal between Minneapolis’ school systems and the teachers union, discrimination against white instructors in the Minneapolis school system is now legal.

It is written into the contract that in the event of layoffs, the district will give preference to the employment of educators who are not white.

In the past, these kinds of decisions were made according to the employee’s level of seniority, but the new contract makes it possible to reject that practice.

The Agreement

Beginning with the Spring 2023 Budget Tie-Out Cycle, when removing an instructor who is a part of a population disadvantaged among certified teachers, the district must remove the next least senior educator who is not a member of a demographic underrepresentation.

According to Alpha News, the “educators of color protections” section of the contract states if an instructor of a racial minority is beholden to excess, the municipality should replace them with a white teacher who has the “next least” seniority.

As part of the settlement to terminate a two-week teacher strike in March, the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers and the district reached this inexplicable agreement.

It would appear that discrimination against persons of the white race has been raised to the status of a bargaining chip for teacher unions.

Racism is Racism

This is what it looks like when discrimination is really practiced.

There need to be consequences for doing so. According to all of the data currently available, it is infringing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make employment decisions in these scenarios, based on the race of an applicant or employee.

According to the provisions of this legislation, it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of a person’s race, gender, color, or national origin.

When it came to recruiting, promoting, and terminating employees, the law made it illegal to discriminate on the basis of race or gender.

People who say they wish to put an end to racism are almost usually the ones who are actively striving to promote it in today’s society.

The disclosure of this deal ought to have everyone raising their voices in protest. It is nasty and disrespectful, but most importantly, it is against the law.

It is irrelevant if these attempts were made under the pretense of correcting “past prejudice.”

It is ludicrous for any intelligent individual to sum up that the finest way to address past discriminatory practices is by developing new discrimination.

If this contract targeted members of any other race in the same manner that it targets white people, there would be uproar across the nation, along with demonstrations and rioting.

Racism is racism and that applies to individuals of all races, even white ones.

It is not enough to say generations of people have been brainwashed by the left to accept a toxic political atmosphere that allows prejudice against white people.

Racism in any form is unacceptable. The idea behind this shouldn’t be too difficult to grasp, should it? People ought to stand up to this revolting intolerance and refuse to put up with discrimination of any kind.
