The higher-ups in the Democrat Party are truly opposed to the idea of Bernie Sanders winning their nomination for a general election. Sanders may be a senator, but each of his presidential runs are marred by purposeful interference from the DNC.
Americans witnessed this in 2016 when Sanders first decided to run for the White House. The DNC intentionally gave Hillary Clinton a ton of superdelegates; then, months later, it came to light that elites within the party colluded with one another in additional ways to ensure that Clinton won the nomination.

Hillary Clinton isn’t running for president anymore; nevertheless, the DNC remains just as committed to blocking Sanders from securing the Democrat Party’s nomination. This time, however, they’re weaponizing sham impeachment proceedings in order to block Sanders from thoroughly competing in Iowa as the state’s caucuses approach.

The Latest DNC Collusion Against Sanders
As a member of the United States Senate, Bernie Sanders will be required to spend time in Washington as the president’s impeachment trial takes place.
As it currently stands, the trial is set to begin on Tuesday, January 21 and could last for two weeks or longer. Therefore, the timing of these proceedings would block Sanders from competing in Iowa and possibly picking up additional support before he and other 2020 Democrats go into the caucuses and primaries.
Taking to Twitter, President Trump declared that the timing of all this is a masterminded plan to swing the likelihood of winning the nomination in favor of Joe Biden. The president isn’t the first to take note of the Democrat Party’s apparent disdain for Sanders and favor of establishment candidate.
Doomed to Fail
Certain Americans have even hypothesized that Joe Biden will be the Hillary Clinton of 2020; this theory asserts that the DNC will ultimately pull strings to ensure that Biden wins their party’s nomination…only for Biden to later lose the general election to President Trump. In fact, this is actually one of the greatest fears of hardcore progressives who believe that radicals like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren are key to defeating Trump.
What the left and other progressives don’t realize is that Sanders’ presidential aspirations are clearly doomed to fail. Democrats don’t want to nominate him and even if they did, Sanders would not defeat President Trump in a general election.

Unlike the president, Sanders lacks the ability to appeal to multiple demographics of voters; the socialist wouldn’t be able to pull in moderates, right-leaning Independents, and especially not conservatives. Throughout Sanders’ time as a presidential candidate, even some moderate Democrats have cringed and given him the side-eye.
Sanders may be in Washington while Biden is able to campaign for the Iowa caucuses, but even if the DNC didn’t have it out for the senator, he still won’t stand a chance in a general election against Trump.
