House Speaker Nancy Pelosi continues to drag out the impeachment process. After weeks of debates and press conferences, Pelosi and the House Democrats managed to approve two impeachment articles against President Trump.
These articles maintain that Trump obstructed justice and furthermore abused his power. Now, if the Democrats truly believed in these impeachment articles, they’d have no issue with forwarding them along to the Senate. However, House Democrats know this is all bogus which is why Speaker Pelosi won’t turn over the documents so the Senate can hold a trial.

At this time, Pelosi claims that she wants the Senate to agree to certain stipulations before she hands over the articles; ironically, this is the very nature of a quid-pro-quo.
However, reports from Breitbart News confirm that Senate Republicans won’t be playing this game with the House Speaker much longer and have warned her accordingly.
Reviewing Senate Republicans’ Message to Speaker Pelosi
On Friday, GOP Sens. Marsha Blackburn and Rick Scott appeared on Fox News in order to discuss impeachment and Pelosi’s refusal to pass along the articles.
Blackburn noted that Pelosi has “no leverage” and that if Pelosi declines to send the articles over to the Senate, then Trump isn’t really impeached. Furthermore, the Tennessee senator explained that Republicans have a “full plate” of priorities which include expanding Space Force, lessening the “digital divide” and confirming various judges.
Likewise, Scott made similar points during his time on air. He expressed a belief that Pelosi secretly realizes that what House Democrats are doing is “bad for their elections,” hence her being “scared” to allow the Senate to conduct a trial. Nevertheless, the Florida senator maintained that he and his colleagues will continue to work on border security, budgets, and more.
Terrible Optics
Pelosi’s refusal to send over the impeachment articles shows that she is weak and petrified. The House Speaker knows that Democrats accomplished absolutely nothing with their so-called “impeachment.” Either way it goes, President Trump will be acquitted or exonerated and there is nothing the Speaker or any other Democrats can do about it.

If Pelosi wants to regain even a shred of dignity for herself or her party, she will call off the sham impeachment at once or send it to the Senate for a speedy acquittal.
