As the Democrats persist with their crusade to remove President Trump from office, they’re alienating more and more Americans with each passing second. Believe it or not, there was actually a time where Democrats at least pretended to want a fair impeachment process.
During the earlier half of 2019, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi professed that support for impeachment must be “bipartisan” whereas evidence ought to be “overwhelming” and “compelling.” Pelosi and the Democrats failed their own standards; moreover, they attempted to blackmail the Senate and dictate how the body holds a trial, but to no avail.

As time passes, the crookedness and lack of basis of the impeachment sham becomes more and more transparent. Even people who are not huge Trump supporters are forced to see the reality here. Furthermore, recent developments from Breitbart News confirm that Democrats’ impeachment sham is turning off swing voters who are tired of the nonsense altogether.
Why Swing Voters are Tired of Impeachment
On Saturday, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise sat down for an interview with Fox News. When appearing on-air, Scalise provided some insight into how swing voters are interpreting Speaker Pelosi’s “obsession” with impeaching the president.
The House Minority Whip informed that swing voters are, in fact, “furious” with Pelosi. Unlike House Democrats, swing voters are interested in seeing real results on important issues; some examples of such include border security, infrastructure developments, and the reduction of prescription drug fees. However, rather than focus on these matters, liberal lawmakers are too busy trying to block Trump from winning a second term in office.
Scalise also reminded Fox News viewers that impeachment is even turning off some of the more moderate Democrats. Jeff Van Drew, a former Democrat, famously switched to the Republican Party, after seeing just how demented the left has become with their neverending schemes to impeach.
The 2020 Presidential Election
Swing voters are an important bloc, especially in general, presidential elections. Whichever Democrat winds up running against President Trump will have to work for support which extends beyond the looniest and most liberal left. However, Democrats haven’t really set themselves up in a position to do well with swing voters or any voter who isn’t radically progressive.

Virtually all 2020 Democrats are supportive of impeachment. This means that they view the overthrow of a duly-elected, innocent president as more important than securing the border, bettering infrastructure, and lowering prescription drug costs. The twisted mindset is an aftereffect of Trump Derangement Syndrome and one of many reasons why the left will fail to defeat President Trump, regardless of who their nominee is.
