As Democrat leaders in Congress continue to withhold impeachment articles from the Senate, more and more GOP senators are weighing in on the sham. Several Republicans have warned Speaker Pelosi that if she does not transfer impeachment articles along for a trial, members of the chamber will focus on real matters of importance, such as getting things done for the American people.

On Sunday, Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz appeared on Fox News in order to discuss the sham impeachment and the delaying tactics of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

According to The Daily Caller News Foundation, Cruz noted the “weakness” of Pelosi along with the House Speaker’s comprehension of the inherent failure of impeachment articles that she’s holding onto.

A Closer Look at Cruz’s Take on Pelosi and the Impeachment Sham

In a nutshell, Cruz made the case that the House Speaker put the cart before the horse when pursuing President Trump’s “impeachment.”

The Texas senator pointed out the manner in which Democrats hyped up impeachment and alleged having evidence of Trump committing bribery, a quid-pro-quo, and additional crimes. However, when the moment of truth arrived, the left came up empty-handed.

Furthermore, Cruz pointed out that House Democrats’ impeachment hoax took place “without a single article alleging any criminal conduct.” The senator explained that no breach of federal law took place and that Pelosi and the Democrats ultimately went down this path as “a political response” prompted by hatred for Trump.

Was President Trump Truly “Impeached?”

Pelosi’s refusal to pass along impeachment articles to the Senate is already raising new questions. As such, some Americans have begun to ask whether or not a president is truly impeached if articles are not passed along to the Senate. Others have even suggested that Trump has yet to truly be impeached until the House relinquishes the applicable articles.

The bottom line is this: the Democrats have absolutely nothing to support their allegations against the president. This is why they continue to block the Senate from doing their job and holding a trial. If the House truly had a smoking gun and believed that their impeachment hoax was legitimate, they’d have no problem with passing along the articles.

It’s time for Pelosi, Nadler, and the rest of House Democrats to end these games at once.
