In the edition of its official journal published in July, the American Academy of Pediatrics issued a call for “reproductive justice” and a campaign for clinicians to assist adolescents in obtaining abortions even without the consent of their guardians.
A Justification?
In the same vein as other pro-abortion proponents who prey on girls to push their ideology, the editorial used the news of a 14-year-old girl from Guatemala.
AAP did this to argue for a more comprehensive approach to reproductive freedom that takes into consideration the impact of variables, such as ethnicity, language, and social class on the reproductive health of women.

The girl reportedly went to a clinic that gave her a clinical abortion and assisted her with the process of judicial underpass so she could have the procedure done without her parents’ awareness.
Per the article, the girl faced health problems after taking the abortion substance misoprostol and after her visit to the clinic.
The young woman had an abortion. Then, she was given a Nexplanon implant, a method of birth control. This method raises the risk that any future pregnancy will be an unwanted pregnancy.
It also puts the pregnant woman at an increased risk of developing blood clots, heart problems, and strokes.
Then why did the American Academy of Pediatrics specifically update the dangers and risks of children and adolescents becoming pregnant and reaffirm the necessity of safe abortions for them as reproductive healthcare after Roe was overturned?

The lesson that the academy wanted its readers to learn from this story was that medical professionals should advocate for making it more straightforward for adolescents to terminate their own pregnancies.
In addition, the American Academy of Pediatrics wishes to conceal this information from the parents of children and instead frames its concern in an understanding of ethnic minority groups’ “heavily entwined social, financial, and cultural barriers.”
Pandering to the Left
According to the article, boot camps should ensure that pediatric residents are capable of providing guidance that is culturally aware and sympathetic in regard to abortion care, contraceptive methods, and judicial bypass.
This is more important now than it has ever been.
In an interview with The Federalist, Dr. George Fidone, who operates a large private practice in Texas with five clinics, stated that the magazine has become increasingly biased to the left.
He mentioned that many years ago, the primary article might have been about pneumonia or bronchitis or a novel vaccine or anything else.
Though right now, everything is focused on trans health, gender fluidity, and how we should counsel people, beginning at very young ages, about the concept of gender fluidity or whatever else.
The article also stated the academy “joined 38 other doctor groups in rejecting the passage of Texas Senate Bill 8,” which restricts abortions after a baby’s pulse can be detected. This legislation is intended to protect the health of unborn children.
Fidone stated the American Academy of Pediatrics is supporting the idea of killing unborn children in large numbers. Asking the question, “What kind of place has our field become?”
