For quite some time, there’s been talk about the dangers of authoritarian governments imposing their will on individuals. In most cases, when governments take control, they claim they’re doing it for the good of the people.
Americans witnessed this when COVID restrictions and orders were rolled out. People were told that shelter-in-place requirements, mask mandates, COVID vaccine passports, etc., were all about keeping people safe.
Now, it turns out these measures didn’t stop COVID, which still exists to this very day. In spite of this, there’s still a push for people to be ultimately under the thumb of various authoritarian measures.
Over the weekend, Americans learned about the World Economic Forum coming out in favor of children being microchipped, according to Newsmax.
The Latest From the WEF
In a blog post, the World Economic Forum says there are “rational” and “solid” reasons for people to have microchips inserted in their children’s hands.
After subtly downplaying concerns that some people may have about injecting their kids like this, the World Economic Forum calls it a “natural evolution.” The organization even went as far as comparing microchips to someone wearing glasses or hearing aids.

Unlike microchips, however, glasses and hearing aids aren’t inserted within someone’s body or underneath their skin. It also goes without saying that microchips can’t be easily removed, whereas hearing aides and glasses can.
Nevertheless, the World Economic Forum made the case that microchips are only going to become a “commodity” in future times to come.
Mark of the Beast?
Many Christians have raised concerns about the growing push to have individuals microchipped. Christians maintain that the Bible speaks of a “Mark of the Beast” that individuals will be required to take in order to buy or sell goods.
Naturally, critics accuse people with these concerns of being “conspiracy theorists.”
However, it’s harder to dismiss these folks as overly paranoid when the World Economic Forum is openly endorsing the microchipping of children and comparing it to wearing eyeglasses.

Aside from worries about the Mark of the Beast, others have raised questions about privacy matters, the safety of a technology implant within the body, and how microchipping could ultimately be used to control people.
On the heels of massive pushback against mask mandates and COVID vaccine mandates, the World Economic Forum shouldn’t expect most Americans to willingly turn themselves (or their kids) over for microchipping anytime soon.
