In the United States, a growing number of debates are happening concerning education, what material teachers should be permitted to expose students to, and more.
Lines in the sand are being drawn, though this doesn’t necessarily erase the problems that exist in today’s education system. There is a notorious shortage of teachers, for instance, due to so many leaving the profession when COVID hit.
On top of that, a new study came out last week that shows the majority of conservative teachers, along with educators who are politically moderate, are scared about losing their jobs if their opinions on certain issues are taken the wrong way.
Amid ongoing debates about education in the United States, one university in the state of Florida just landed in some very hot water, according to the Daily Mail.
This Won’t Land Well
The Miami-based Florida International University has jumped face first into a new woke cirriculum that embraces critical race theory through and through.
The core principles of the program rooted in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) brands the United States as a racist nation that’s stained by white supremacy.
The program likewise looks favorably upon radical left-wing rioting and divides students based upon the color of their skin. It is these types of teachings that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has been cracking down against, much to the annoyance of leftists.
SCOOP: Florida International University has adopted radical DEI programming that condemns the United States as a system of "white supremacy," segregates scholarships and student programs by race, and trains students for participation in violent left-wing protests.

Florida International University recieved almost $80 million in taxpayer money during just last year alone. Meanwhile, this new DEI program, along with other extremist teachings that embrace critical race theory, has been on the books for the university since 2020.
Battle Incoming
Because of the path which Florida International University has chosen to go down, there may be more scrutiny over the institution recieving taxpayer funds.
After all, there are many Floridians who do not agree with young minds being indoctrinated with critcal race theory and other adjacent teachings.
On social media, livid Americans ripped into the university, stating that it’s a disgrace for this sort of message and programming to be shared.
To make matters worse, this DEI program is likewise embracing the use of phrases and words that are not tied to gender whatsoever.
The university's DEI bureaucrats published an official "Inclusive Language Guide" that condemns words such as "husband," "wife," "mother," "father," "Mr.," and "Mrs.," as "non-inclusive." Instead, students are told to use the words "partner," "caregivers," "Mx.," and "they/them." pic.twitter.com/p37DDW6UlF

Going ahead, it remains to be seen whether or not Florida International University is going to stand by this programming or walk it back, amid incoming fire.
Regardless of what happens next, it’s very clear that these type of teachings are only going to further flame division and education-centered culture wars.
What do you make of the teachings that Florida International University is sharing to its students regarding critical race theory, American history, and other issues impacting our country’s social fabric?
