As ballot tabulations, litigation, and more happens to discover the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, Americans are able to review voter demographics.

Seeing where the president lost or gained support among various demographics is very telling; it also can provide some insight into the likelihood of certain voter counts, depending on location and other factors.

For quite some time, the Democrat Party has put out the narrative that President Trump is a racist. Despite the nonexistent evidence to support this, it’s a narrative that the left has stuck with, in the hopes of winning over black voters.

However, the observation of the black vote in the 2020 presidential election shows that Democrats’ work to portray Trump as a racist is failing miserably, per Breitbart News.

Surges in Trump Votes from Black Americans

It is a very known fact that the Democrat Party cannot win elections without the support of the black community. For decades, black voters have backed Democrats, even when nothing came from this support.

2020 appears to be the year of making a change. Exit polls have shown that Trump gained 5% more of the black male vote than he had in the 2016 presidential election; likewise, the president’s support amongst black female voters has actually doubled from 4% to 8%.

Democrats aren’t at all happy about this. Earlier in the month, California Rep. Maxine Waters (D) professed that she would “never forgive” black Americans who voted for President Trump. Waters claimed that such votes were inexcusable and somehow a betrayal to the collective black community.

GOP Outreach to Black Voters

In recent years, the Republican Party has expanded its outreach to black voters. This outreach is especially notable amongst the Trump campaign, hence the coalition known as Black Voices for Trump.

Unlike Joe Biden who professed that black voters “ain’t black” if they don’t vote for him, Trump’s outreach to the black community is rooted in policy. From criminal justice reform to job creation and more, the president has a solid record to stand on when it comes to how his presidency has benefited the black community.

Based on the increases in black voters’ support for Trump, it appears as though the president’s messages and policies are getting through to some in the black community.
