Since the inception of Tulsi Gabbard’s entry into the 2020 presidential election, she’s generated various actions from different groups. Many Democrats have censured her, with Hillary Clinton going as far as to brand Gabbard as a “Russian asset.” Other figures on the left even questioned whether or not Gabbard is a plant from President Trump or the GOP.

Yesterday, Gabbard appeared on The View; during her time on-air, she expressed her love for America and stated that she’s interesting in reaching all Americans across different political demographics. Gabbard took heat for this from far-left co-host Joy Behar, although that hasn’t stopped her.

True to her word, Tulsi Gabbard sat down for a radio interview with Breitbart News Daily as early as this morning.

Analyzing Gabbard’s Interview with Breitbart News Daily

The 2020 Democrat spoke with Alex Marlow, Breitbart’s editor-in-chief. When asked about whether or not she believes Democrats are still the party against war, Gabbard stated that she doesn’t hold this view of the Democrat Party anymore.

Per Gabbard’s own words, she believes that both Republicans and Democrats have chosen to play politics and simply oppose the policies of the other side. The war veteran declared that both political parties ought to “actually [stand] up for the best interest of our country” instead of making decisions based upon whether the president has a D or R next to their name.

Despite Gabbard’s commentary, she doesn’t support President Trump’s choice to withdraw troops from Syria. The 2020 Democrat maintains that special force groups ought to deal with Syria when necessary and then stand down, rather than “moving from one part of Syria to another part of Syria” or enabling “regime change war.”

The Unique Position of the Gabbard 2020 Campaign

As a Democrat candidate, many Americans expect Gabbard to toe certain lines and are surprised when she declines to do so. When appearing on The View yesterday, Gabbard took heat for repeatedly doing interviews with right-wing news hosts, such as Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson.

However, she also received accolades from Meghan McCain; McCain declared that Republicans “respond” to Gabbard because she “doesn’t treat them like garbage.” This marks a stark contrast from various other Democrats who have no problems dismissing Trump supporters as “deplorables” and racists.

Gabbard’s interview with Breitbart News Daily comes as she continues to affirm her interest in speaking to Americans of all creeds, not just those who agree with her.
