Warren Challenged Over Her Student Loan Debt Policy

One of Elizabeth Warren’s most “progressive” plans guarantees absolution from collective trillions of dollars in student loan debt. According to the Massachusetts senator, such a plan will lessen income disparities and engender economic opportunity. What Warren declines to point out is that student loan debt cannot simply be erased. One way or another, someone has to foot the bill.

This is where the American taxpayer comes in. When Warren talks about absolution from student loan debt, what she won’t mention is that everyday Americans will have to foot the bill.

Many people are understandably not pleased about this; as a matter of fact, Warren was directed confronted about her student loan debt policy from a Navy veteran earlier this week. According to Townhall, this veteran questioned why Warren believes that he should have to cover other people’s loan debt.

Of course, the 2020 Democrat did all she could to avoid directly answering the question.

Picking Apart Warren’s Student Loan Debt Policy

The incident in question took place during a CNN town hall on Wednesday. Chris Middleton, a veteran of the Navy, questioned Warren about why she believes he should fund other people’s college education, especially since he’s already paid for his own. Moreover, Middleton asked Warren whether or not she thinks his mortgage debt should be erased since she claims to be in favor of student loan debt erasure.

Warren declined to give Middleton a straight answer. Instead, what she did is meander off into her typical talking points about a wealth tax in America. The 2020 Democrat then defined her wealth tax as a “two-cent tax on fortunes above $50 million.” Then, when further pressed on the original questions asked of her, Warren professed the need for building an economy that works “from the grassroots up.”

This isn’t the first time that Warren has been called out for her “bold” and “progressive” plan of erasing student loan debt. Each and every time she’s challenged, the 2020 Democrat avoids direct answers and simply parrots her rehearsed talking points.

Why Warren Won’t Give Honest Answers

When confronted about her socialist programs, the Massachusetts senator will not ever be able to provide honest, sincere answers. Doing so would shatter the illusion she’s created which asserts that everything can be free with just a few tax hikes on the wealthy.

Socialism has been tried many times before; each and every endeavor has ultimately failed. Socialists like Warren will never admit this though; instead, they’ll simply disguise socialism as “democratic” or “grassroots.” Despite the lack of honesty from the socialist left, pushing back on them is still important. It sends a direct message that America will never ever become a socialist nation.
