Controversy in Columbia: Classes Sparks Outrage!

9

In recent news, the prestigious Columbia University has found itself at the center of a heated debate as its president announces the cancellation of in-person classes amidst the ongoing Palestine-Israel conflict. While many students and faculty members may have anticipated this move in light of the current global pandemic, the decision has sparked an unexpected backlash from a particular group: conservative parents.

As tensions continue to rise in the Middle East, the university's president has faced mounting pressure from concerned parents to provide refunds for their children's tuition fees. These parents, who identify as conservative, argue that their children are not receiving the full educational experience they were promised. They insist that the cancellation of in-person classes is a political move disguised as a safety measure.

With the issue gaining traction on social media, many are quick to point out the irony of these parents demanding refunds while simultaneously supporting the university's strict adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols. It begs the question: is their outrage truly rooted in their children's education, or is there a deeper agenda at play?

It's no secret that Columbia University has a reputation for leaning towards the liberal end of the political spectrum. The cancelation of in-person classes may be seen by some as a move to appease the university's liberal-leaning students and faculty. This, in turn, has caused an uproar among conservative parents who feel their children's education is being compromised in the name of political correctness.

In response to these accusations, the university's president has maintained that the decision was made solely with the safety and well-being of the students in mind. With the escalating violence in the Middle East and the rise of COVID-19 cases in the area, the cancelation of in-person classes was a necessary precaution to protect the Columbia community.

However, for conservative parents, this explanation is not enough. They argue that their tuition fees should not be funding a university that they believe is pushing a political agenda. They demand transparency and accountability from the university, and some have even gone as far as calling for a boycott of Columbia's programs.

As the debate continues to unfold, it highlights the deep political divide in our society and how it can affect even the most mundane aspects of our lives, such as education. Whether or not the university's decision was politically motivated, one thing is clear: the Palestine-Israel conflict has once again become a contentious topic, even in the world of academia.

In the end, only time will tell how this controversy will play out. But for now, the cancelation of in-person classes at Columbia University has sparked a much larger conversation about the role of politics in education and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

  1. You have a Bunch of IDIOTS dancing around like fools and more than half of them have NO CLUE what they are even doing or why. ALOT of them are joining in this stupidity so they don’t get canceled out. The Future of AMERICA is heading straight down the Toilet. GOD HELP US ALL!!!

  2. Obama’s alma mater hosts an abnormally high ratio of Arab Muslims to Americans. Safety is a responsible parent’s duty to his or her children. Tuition refunds are definitely in order.

  3. You can see what’s coming. The Leftyloonies, have their OWN
Agenda, and it isn’t supporting the Democrat Party,It appears they’re so emotionally HATEFUL, their objective is To create a new Palestine in our country. These
Lunatic Protestors are tomorrow’s American Terrorists. They won’t follow democracy, but will soon support a Muslim Hamas Leader. Begin to Live, and practice the Palestinian Hamas culture, These Crazies, are Extremists, Radicals and will soon create a New Palestinian community here. Your children could face barbaric Terrorismn HERE,

  4. COVID lockdowns could not be stopped by the police, this stuff can be and should be.
If my child was attending, I would want a refund if classrs were moved to online rather than in person.
Who knows what is being done during online classes, if anything…

  5. I firmly believe in the slogan, Bomb them all into oblivion, both over in the middle east and all the indoctrinated here, and let God sort them out!!

  6. Give me a break, Miriam.
You are the one being hateful here.
These conservative parents are creating a problem over something that does not exist.
If they want to “shrink wrap” their little darlings and protect them from the real world, then why didn’t they send them to someplace in the south where “Christian” schools envelope their kids in the myth of America that never really existed. Why pay $70,000 a year to send conservative kids to liberal universities? Maybe because the education is better? Hmmmm.
You can’t have it both ways.

    • Absolute hogwash deary. Muslims law you should read. The religion of pirating lands by deception and violence. I hope you meet a nice bunch like Nadia Murad escaped from
Quran (21:44) – “…See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win?”

Abu Dawud (14:2527) (considered daif) – The Prophet said: Striving in the path of Allah (jihad) is incumbent on you along with every ruler, whether he is pious or impious

Sahih Muslim (1:33) – the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah

Sahih Bukhari (8:387) – Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah’. And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally.”

Quran (25:52) – “Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness with it.”
Sahih Bukhari (52:220) – Allah’s Apostle said… ‘I have been made victorious with terror’

Sahih Bukhari (52:44) – A man came to Allah’s Apostle and said, “Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad (in reward).” He replied, “I do not find such a deed.”

  7. If you are involved in these activities, you should be expelled and if you are from out of the country, you should be sent back. If the president of these colleges do not want to do their job they should be gone too. People should not have to pay these outrageous tuitions to have to deal with this mess. If we do not start taking our country back it will be game over.

  8. I see the moderators do not allow actual Muslim law of the Quran published. The October 7 laws and the 9/11 laws and the Boston bomber inspiration of the prophet.
Sahih Muslim (1:30) – “The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah.”

Sahih Bukhari (52:73) – “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Know that Paradise is under the shades of swords’.”

Sahih Bukhari (11:626) – [Muhammad said:] “I decided to order a man to lead the prayer and then take a flame to burn all those, who had not left their houses for the prayer, burning them alive inside their homes.”

Sahih Muslim (1:149) – “Abu Dharr reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, which of the deeds is the best? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Belief in Allah and Jihad in His cause…”
